EDIT: In light of alternative suggestions I changed the title to encourage people to make suggestions of their own.

In another thread about inspiration someone mentioned that they use poker chips to give to players for a similar but different system. This struck me as a good idea but at the same time, I felt that poker chips weren't the right medium to reflect a more traditional medival fantasy theme. Then I remembered something... there was a guy who made real coins!

This strikes me as a brilliant way of representing the Inspiration system as well as implementing it in game. I think this would add a great thematic element to games.

Now all I need to do is find lead-lined drinking cups and my medieval gaming fantasies will be complete!

Very cool, and an excellent idea.

I am going to use candy. If you eat it you lose it. Inspiration and willpower are both required to win the day at my table!

What about d20's that stand out from what everyone normaly uses.  Put them in a bowl in the middle of the table, when they earn one they take it and set it in front of them, when they use it roll it along with their normal d20 for the advantage, when done put it back in the bowl.

For example that is a light up d20 from Thinkgeek it flashes when you roll a 20.

I'm probably gonna use Jokers from standard decks of cards.

I made these using logo images from WoTC and paint.net program.

Figured someone might want to use them, can either print them out or use as a token for a virtual table top like Roll20.

I think I'll carry over a Hellfrost practice and use runes. Will come up with alternate bonuses that can be used instead of gaining flat Advantage that are tied to whatever the rune signifies.
