Howdy, folks!
For those interested in this sort of stuff, you may find this small series of videos Lindybeige did on the use of medieval torches quite amusing. The videos are a bit old so you might have seen it if you know his channel, but anyways...
Of course, no big deal in waving torches around in D&D, it's just a game and that's far from a crucial subject. But if you like that sort of analysis on how things were actually used when compared to games and movies... check these out:
