Howdy, folks!

 

For those interested in this sort of stuff, you may find this small series of videos Lindybeige did on the use of medieval torches quite amusing. The videos are a bit old so you might have seen it if you know his channel, but anyways...

 

Of course, no big deal in waving torches around in D&D, it's just a game and that's far from a crucial subject.  But if you like that sort of analysis on how things were actually used when compared to games and movies... check these out:

Yeah, if I wasn't so involved in Adventurer's League, I'd definitely bring this up with my DM. I'll just have to make Everburning Torches a thing again in my game. I always preferred them anyway.

I would like my players to use torches again, such a classic way to roam the dungeons.. but they are of no use when all adventurers in the party have darkvision and the druid has Produce Flame.
