#1 KaribouOfDoom Aug 24, 2014 23:05:44	This kind of thread probably exists already, and while I'm a veteran D&D player, I'm new to the forums.  So, if a thread is already around to address this topic, someone should please reply with a link and I'll happily move there.  The search function has been twitchy.  I can't seem to filter search results by D&D posts. ANYWAY...   With the imminent return of the Flumph and the potential for unicorns and speaking in pink soap bubbles, it seems like 5e is a good backdrop for humor.  I've been keeping a notebook of one-liners that have evolved from the ridiculous situations in my campaigns for over a decade.  I'm certain many of you do, too.  I'd love to hear and share some (family friendly!) humor which has evolved from gaming.    I'll start!   Tipsy dwarven fighter to female uldra druid at a cozy inn: "I'd buy you a drink... if you weren't so blue... and my sister in real life."   or...   Standing over the body of their fallen PC comrade, the rogue turns to the cleric and says, "Would it be bad for us to check him for treasure?"   Druid comments to the rest of the party about a grumpy NPC: "Man, he's like a Treant with Dutch Elm Disease."   Sorcerer: "I’m not a wimp, I’m hit-point challenged.”   A fey-folk character, modeled after the Tooth Fairy (her name was "Dentina") looks into a frozen chamber guarded by undead and says, "Whoa.  Icy Wight -- and NOT the kind you want on your teeth."   I have so many more, but they are not TOS-compliant, lol...
#2 Kalani Aug 25, 2014 9:16:06	From my last campaign Curious PC steps into a levitation platform and ascends to the next floor.  PC: I cast Light. "I hope nothing bad happens". (epic famous last words) Boss NPC: Casts a frost-based spell, critical hitting the PC for 22 damage. The PC has 10 maximum HP and is slain instantly.   The frozen corpse of the above PC plummets to the floor below.    My PC (Mt. Dwarf Wizard): Takes one look at the frozen corpse and says.... "I'll take the stairs".
