i mean things like the PHB2 or Unearthed Arcana. Not those, but hardcover supplements.

Mearls made it clear that they're releasing "finalized" content bi-annually, alongside each new adventure league season. So, a season focusing on fighting Mind Flayers might feature Psionics, for example. Hence why elemental stuff came out alongside the Elemental Evil season.
If you want more than a PDF, you can purchase the Elemental Evil Player's Guide for 8 or 10 US$ (different is color stock) from D&D Classics, and they will ship a paperback version of the book to you. Other people are satisfied with the free PDF, however.
As for regular new content, every month there's Unearthed Arcana articles that are essentially playtests akin to round 1 of the D&D Next playtests. In addition, the Dragon+ issues for your smart-devices will continue to provide content, but most of it seems to be flavor rather than crunch. It's probably the best usage of the magazine right now though, after years of criticism for being PDF supplements for whatever they couldn't fit into the print books in 4e.

I would like to see wizards conslidate all official pdfs down at then end of the year. That way searching for the new stuff will go smoother.
