| #1ThunaerJul 02, 2015 4:25:51 | Was just curious if anyone trie to modify any of the 2nd edition complete books for use in the 5th edition |

Most of the effects are flavor and maybe swapping around some skill proficiencies. Even major changes (stuff from the Complete Sha'ir's handbook, for example, which changes the way spells and magic work) would still port pretty easily. You could even use Complete Psionics if you wanted, you would just need to make up a bunch of new skills. |

| #4OoftaMegJul 02, 2015 8:20:13 | I haven't done any direct conversions, I haven't seen the need. I've created characters using the concepts found in the kits. Between backgrounds, feats and multi-classing I've been able to recreate the feel fo the characters. |

If he says it's not AL-acceptable, I'll just magically convert it to a bunch of Trade Goods of similar value and continue. (His next major purchase is a 2-Wheeled Cart or a Wheelbarrow to carry it all in; I finally added up the weight and he's got 135 lbs of stuff on his back !) Some of the stuff I discovered in Complete XYZ books.
