Tyranny of Dragons is half over and in March we can expect Princess of the Apocalypse as part of the Elemental Evil storyline.

What would you like to see next? What adventures (and related splatbooks) would you like to see over the next few years?

What kind of stories do you want WotC to tell?

Sandbox type APs and some stand alone adventures. Not overly interested in metaplot heavy save the world type adventures.

Is this a 5e version of the Temple of Elemental Evil from AD&D ?  It would be great if they decided to do 5e conversions/versions of the most popular classics. I can't see that not being a massive seller.

I sure hope we see more adventures starring female and/or insane villains.  Cause WoTC hasn't beat that horse continuously for over a decade.

Sure, I would like to see conversions of old classics, but that's just me.  Yes, even though they've beat that horse continuously for over a decade.

I was excited to hear about the city of Phlan appearing again.  I've pretty much been DMing the old Pool of Radiance adventures over and over again my whole life, introducing new players to it each time.

I would also like to see the GDQ series make a comeback.  Not to mention the A series Slavers modules as a potential lead-in.

I'd like to see a few different genres of game, and adventures that segue into good accessories.

  • A "Pirates of the Swordcoast" adventure would pair nicely with an accessory focusing on piracy, sailing, naval combat, and underwater adventuring.
  • A "Secrets of the Underdark" with all the underground races works with dungeon delving and underground survival.
  • Similarly, travel based adventure could be set in Kara Tur or Al Qadim and provide source material based around Oriental Adventures or Arabic Nights.

I guess my previous post got eaten or post timed out, but lets try this again.

  • I want to see more adventures design for neutral align and/or evil align story hooks with more mundane goals. (I've had enough of saving the kingdom, world, plane.)
  • I also would like to see some mystery story lines. Many places in Ebberon would be good for a noir mystery, Waterdeep in FR is always good,  the Sundering has probably setup Baldur's gate to be an awesome place for a murder mystery.
  • I can always go for an Al-Qadim adventure. Bonus points if the adventure includes (in no particular order) djinns, sha'irs, elemental mages, coursairs and Display Weapon Prowess. (The last thing is in caps because I blatently lied in the previous paratheses.)
