By this, I mean more along the lines of Draconomicon and Manual of the Planes than adventures.

I'm excluding the DMG because it was released today/will be released today (I just have the day recorded, not the time) and so there's no need to make predictions on that one.

Forgot to say my prediction...

I predict that the first game supplement will be a campaign setting updated for 5e. I think that FR is the default setting for 5e, so it'll probably be Eberron or, if 4e fans are lucky, Nentir Vale.

I'm having a lot of trouble seeing how Eberron will work with the paradigm of "more than a couple magic items breaks everything".  Even moreso when one considers the length of time currently listed for creating items.  You'd need every single magewright in House Lysander working nonstop a very, very long time just to pump out a single airship.

You don't want to think about how long it would take to fix a Warforged factory!  Still, I'd like to see Eberron or NV coming up soon.  I'm a big fan of the Quori and that would necessarily mean psionics, yay!

what if Eberron had some special NPC only feat allowing them to cut the crafting time by 10? or a ritual spell requiring 10 spell caster and that would reduce the crafting time by 10? or need 3 attuned crafting item?

If they make the feat/ritual roleplay wise, complicated enought, those big factory or warforge and airship will still work well, but they won't waste there time on +1 sword factories, would not be worth it. and will make those feat/ritual out of the PC reach.

The second book will probably be monster manual 2. There not going to launch a campaign setting until 5e has been playtested by the community and worked the bugs out.

I expect them to follow the same trend as MMOs and release adventures following their current story arch.
