Wizkids mini's from Comic Con

I took these at Comic Con from the Wizkids booth. I think we have never seen anything like this before. The quality is superb and the paint jobs look stunningly detailed.

 

Bravo. I cannot wait to own these all and use them at my table.

That is nice, I on the other hand purchased the starter set over last weekend and the quality is meh.  Not any worse than the previous D&D minis, but oddly not quite as good as the "other" mini's they make.

The issue w/ WizKids minis is the crappy, brittle plastic they use. I've bought a few of their PF minis and the amount of breakage in the package is pretty bad, let alone in use on the table. A pile of polymer chips is not what I'd consider a good investment.

The pathfinder minis have more broken minis than my old D&D minis had, and they are slighty more expensive, but they are more beautiful. I like them better.

 

I do dig the flying dragons. Their flying Tiamat does not beat my colossal, 3 headed, prismatic dragon by McFarlane, though it does beat the old D&D minis avatar of Tiamat.

Aug 01, 2014 13:08:47 		I am not a snob about much in life. But the plastic on wizkids minis is way too breakable for my taste. I have a 1000 or 2000 or i dont know, a lot of the old dnd minis, and none have broken despite rough treatment. Lastly, these new figures are smaller than the original DND minis line. I am severly disappointed that these potentially will be off scale. I also have pathfinder miniatures. My old DND miniatures are organized and put into boxed sections.... my pathfinder ones have to be delicatelly seperated... its pretty annoying. If they were super cheap, i wouldnt care... but id hate to break off an $4 orc sword beczuse i dropped a handful of orcs back into the orc slot.
