| #1Storyteller-ZeroMay 18, 2015 8:26:55 | About a couple of years ago, a very well known pillar of the DnD forum community, known as Wrecan, passed away and many mourned the loss of his wisdom from the boards.

There was discussion of trying to honor him in some way, and two years later the writers of the Order Of The Stick webcomic (OOTS) have added a character in his name. Coincidentally (wink, wink), this character acts as a voice of reason.
RIP Wrecan the man. Long live Wrecan the stick man. May he stick it to many an evil-doer upon the great drawing board.

Edit: Is Veldrina his wife or gaming buddy? Or is she just a fan? |
| #4MirtekMay 18, 2015 12:05:25 | There was also a wise lizard folk sage named Wrecan in Ghost of Dragonspear Castle |
| #5ArtifactMay 18, 2015 13:09:25 | I would daresay Wrecan was immortalized on these boards. His contributions were many and will be missed.
But yeah, an OOTS namesake character is a fitting tribute. |

| #11ArtifactMay 19, 2015 5:57:33 | I was wondering if Wrecan's family was aware of the character. He'd be thrilled, I'm sure. Awesome all-around. |
| #12manduckMay 19, 2015 6:16:28 | I remember Wrecan from back in the day. He made the community a lot better with his wisdom and kindness. This is a very classy and fun way to remember him. I'm sure he'd be pleased. |
| #13ChrisCarlsonMay 19, 2015 7:11:26 | Well done. Gives me the feels.
I still have all my old PM strings with him. Can't get myself to delete them. |
| #14Ralif_RedhammerMay 19, 2015 7:11:27 | A bittersweet honoring. I remember him from when I first joined the boards, and indeed, he seemed a good fellow. Sad to hear of his death. |
