#1 avjewe Oct 01, 2014 6:52:15	If I am reading the Monster Manual correctly, Wyrmlings have exacty the same Lair Actions as their Ancient counterparts. This seems ridiculous. Am I missing something?
#2 AaronOfBarbaria Oct 01, 2014 7:06:03	I think you are missing that a) dragon's are intended to be more dangerous if faced in their lair (no matter the age), and b) the dragon's lair actions are actually all relatively low-level in effect.
#3 ChrisCarlson Oct 01, 2014 7:32:22	...and c) the dragon (regardless of age) has lair actions when found, appropriately, in its lair (assuming it has one). So a wyrmling only has lair actions when you decide it has a lair, and the PCs encounter it there. Otherwise, no.
#4 Sword_of_Spirit Oct 01, 2014 11:35:06	Interesting. I don't have the MM yet, but I'd probably house rule that wyrmlings and young don't have lair actions. I'll be giving them a special perk by species anyway (traditional shapeshifting for gold, silver and bronze for instance) so it shouldn't end up as a straight debuff.

#7 ThreeofSwords Oct 02, 2014 16:47:24	It comes down to whether you think a Wyrmling is a Legendary creature.  Lair actions state that they are available to Legendary creatures with Lairs.   However, since Wyrmlings do not have Legendary Actions, I would rule they are not Legendary.  Thus no Lair Actions.   Only Adult and Ancient dragons have Legendary Actions.
