I saw this at enworld:  http://www.enworld.org/forum/content.php?2829-Check-Out-This-Sneak-Peek-At-OUT-OF-THE-ABYSS#.Vc_IqCZVhBc.   Very Giger-esque picture and interesting lair actions.

As I pointed out on ENworld. Her lair actions are really powerfu. And very useful for buring down parties before they even get to her.

They should never have had her look anthropomorphic.  Or it I should say.  This is a being that existed long before humanity and cares nothing for humanity.

A demonic fungoid without ample cleavage? What is the world coming to!? WHAT, I ASK? WHAT!?

On a more serious note, looks awesome.

Abeir and the Primordials that rule it haven't been struck from Forgotten Realms canon – Abeir just shifted away from Toril.

The Dawn War is still a canon event in FR lore, nothing has said for or against it in 5e. And that's likely how it's going to continue to go: if you want to play in a FR where 4e's era's changes didn't happen, you can; if you want to draw from that history, you can; if you want that history to exist, but not be relevent, that's fine too.

In any case, it's worth noting that Kotschie appeared in 4e as a Frost Giant who was corrupted into a Demon Prince. Remember that in 4e eschatology, Giants, Titans, and Primordials/Dawn Titans are all kind of the same thing, just varying degrees of starting size and power. In 5e, Titan refers to divine creations of the gods (so far including the Empyrean, the Kraken, and the Tarrasque), and is compared to the terms Demigod and Vestige in terms of divine power. Giants, therefore, are slipping into the gaps, with stronger, more powerful giants filling the roles of the Titans of 4e.

In 4e, Orcus was a Primordial, as were all the Ta'narri. The greatest of them was Miska the Wolf-spider, who fell in love with, or under the sway of, the Queen of Chaos, leader of the Obyriths. This is a much more compelling revision of the Obyrith story than that of 3.5e's Fiendish Codex, and tied in various world threads (Tharizdun, the Obyriths, the Ruby Rod, the Rod of Many Parts, the Sharn, the Living Gate, the Shardminds, Psionics, and the Far Realm). Nothing, NOTHING in 5e has said that this is "wrong". Nothing has said that the Fiendish Codex is wrong either. Think of it more like "The Elder Scrolls": numerous possibilities, and all or none or some of them could be true. This is the best way for a roleplaying game, since DMs can use the version they like or make up their own.

I think "stricken" over sells it, though.   Elements of the 4e axis were incorporated into the 5e GW.  I suspect that, if they do a 5e Manual of the Planes, it will say "big cosmic events change the nature of the multiverse", mention how everything changed to the 4e axis, then "the Sundering", and things changed again, similar to how it was before, but with certain features being strong enough to maintain themselves (and maybe thrive) through the change, like the elemental chaos, the feywild, and the shadowfell.  That maintains real estate, so anyone who wants to play in the 4e axis can with minimum effort.
