#1 The_Jester Dec 18, 2011 10:03:22	The new Book of Vile Darkness has a Ravenloft reference. In the evil organizations section the Kargatane is listed and referenced. And Lady Kazandra. Cool.  There's a LOT more bad though. It mixes and confuses the Kargat and the Kargatane. And it removes them from Ravenloft, making them an organization in general stretches of the Shadowfell. And it sticks with the TSR canon that Azalin is dead, rather than acknowloging the Kargatane (the fan organization's) / Arthaus' restoration of Azalin to power.  And it basically takes what was an interesting element of the world, and steals it to pad the base game. Why not present it in a way that fits the world but allows it to be stolen at the discretion of the DM rather than removing something from the campaign setting?
#2 cybrsage Dec 28, 2011 19:24:28	Is there ever going to be a 4th Edition Ravenloft campaign setting?  I love your guides (I assume you are the same Jester), but it is not enough.
#3 Zarkas Dec 29, 2011 10:32:29	Well, I know the planned campaign setting got canned and replaced with the board game box set. I don't think an official campaign setting is shelved for the foreseeable future. I'm working with 2nd ed. products and the stuff the fraternity of shadows puts out (very helpful) for a 4th ed. campaign at the moment. Enough out there that you can make do on your own, but an official setting and a conclusion/continuation of some of the storylines (and products for) would be really nice.
