I wasn't really sure what to expect in terms of fellow players, cause it was our first time at DDXP, but people were mostly pretty cool both on a personal level and as D&D players. So that was awesome. The Paladin's Plague was superb. Our DM did not knock our socks off, but the staging was great, the storyline was fun, and the story rewards rocked. I suspect The Morninglord’s Laughter would have been pretty fun, but sadly we got a DM who'd never read it before and was sort of stuck in 3.5 mode and that was problematic. C'est la vie. The four premieres we played were all very well-run. Big time thanks to Dave C. for putting this sucker on. Everything ran like clockwork as far as I could tell. I know that means him and his staff were working like mad behind the scenes to make it all look smooth. See y'all next year! |
