| #1ismarOct 03, 2009 9:33:42 | What:: GASPcon 10 To celebrate our 10th anniversary, GASPcon 10 is now 3-days long. And the news gets event better - the full weekend price is still only $20 (pre-registration). GASPcon 10 is now accepting player registration for the convention, November 13th-15th. The location is the Best Western Inn, Greentree, PA (minutes from downtown Pittsburgh). Pre-registration runs through October 25th. Pre-register and save $10 off the on-site weekend registration fee. This also allows you to sign-up for events, ensuring your spot in that favorite game. Pre-registration also ensure you a Gold sticker for our Super Spectacular Prize Give-Away on Sunday. Hundreds of gaming goodies will be offered in this free raffle, but Gold stickers get their names drawn first. We have a great mix of miniature events this year, including the return of the ever popular BattleTech Poker Run, the yearly Steel City Meltdown Warmachine event, and several miniature tournaments. The signature event from last year, the massive Star Wars mini event "Battle for Hoth" will be returning Friday night only, but we have a brand new Signature multi player game, "When Sci-Fi World Collide". Check the event listings for all the details. The game library returns and this year it will be bigger than ever. 100's of games will be available for you to check-out and play, and we will even try to find people to play them with you. Got your own game, that's fine, just find an open gaming table and set it up. Don't know how to play board games, not a problem, we will have several demo games that we will teach you the rules for, or we will find one of our board game experts to show the ropes. GASPcon 10 has a great line up of independent RPG's on the schedule this year and enough events in the schedule to keep you busy the entire con. If you haven't experienced Indie RPG's, this will be a great opportunity to try a different side of Role Playing. If you have never role played before, Indie games are a great way to explore the hobby. All the events on the schedule do not require any experience and most can be learned in minutes. In addition to having several games on the schedule we will have a library of Indie game systems you can check out during the con to read or start up your own game. As an added bonus Indie RPG designer Bill White will be at GASPcon running his extremely popular RPG Ganakagok. All the RPGA LFR events are now scheduled and available for registration. Don't miss out on these exclusive first run events at GASPcon. There are over 40 RPGA events scheduled throughout the weekend. If you are worried about not being able to make the con and losing your pre-registration fee, fear not. GASPcon has a liberal refund policy. Simply let me know that you can't make the con BEFORE November 7th, and your registration fee will be refunded in full, minus a $2 processing fee. Got to to register for the con and for events. You must have your payment in before the end of the day on October 25th to receive the discounted price. Those that register early, but plan on paying at the door will pay full on-site prices. And if you want to simply show up at the convention on November 13th-15th, please keep in mind that on-site registration is cash only. No checks/credit cards will be accepted on-site. Thanks, and we look forward to seeing you at GASPcon 10. Don McCalmon |
| #2ismarOct 25, 2009 8:16:30 | Pre-registration is now extended through Friday October 30th. That gives attendees an extra week to sign-up and register for events. A few more events have been added to the schedule, including a midnight Zombie game, as well as a Classic BattleTech Open Tournament. There is also plenty of open gaming space for any pick-up RPG games. Be sure to check out the Warhorn site for all the event details. Thanks, |

There were four mods we wanted to play in the slots we wanted to play in, people were super-friendly, and we both scored Kenku reward cards. We're definitely planning on hitting it again next year. |
