Hi Team,

I am looking for RPGA judges for NY ComicCon 2009, from Feb 6-8.

My Delve team from last year is returning, however are going to expand our
games, including some RPGA content.

Judges will be expected to prep both Delve and RPGA games as instructed.

We have our own large gaming area (sealed off). The gaming area will
be available to gamers at a much reduced badge fee if they want to
just come play games and not attend the dealers hall. Of course all
NYCC attendees can also attend our gaming area.

This year will have a bigger RPGA presence than any previous
NYCC show - 15-20 judges - and we'll have RPGA games as well
as the new D&D Delve.

We will have room for some judges to stay in a hotel (3 per room).

Currently I have vacancies for:

8 judges (room provided)
3 judges (no room).

Judges receive product swag as normal.

For judges who do not take a room (locals or if you have friends in
area etc), I've organized with Chris Tulach that they will receive
extra swag, including a complete set of the 3 deluxe 4E core books
(RRP is US$224.85 for the set).

I am taking applications now and making a final decision mid-Dec (gives those
flying or travelling to the show plenty of time to make their
plans). Preference is given to RPGA judges who have worked for me
before, however I will entertain applications from other RPGA
judges.

**If interested, please join the yahoo group "rpgadelve". In your application to join the group, include your real name, location, RPGA number, very brief RPGA judging experience summary and if you have worked for me before or for the RPGA at a major convention (convention names and dates).

Thanks,

Where is NYCC 2009?

The link in the post is not working for me. I get the following message: "NOTE : A required parameter is missing. If you continue to receive this message, please contact : Reed Interactive Webmaster."

I looked at the website but I couldn't find any of RPGA events posted.

Events handle that - its likely though that there wont be a scheule - you just buy a badge for the show (or a discounted badge to only go to the RPGA area) and turn up.

Stuff like the D&D Delve runs the entire time we are open. Jump into a game. If you dont have a full group or are solo, we form a team for you.

Depending on whats been offered for longer games (waiting on confirmation myself), there will likely be sign ups at the show.

This is an acqusition show - the majority attending the show have never tried D&D, and especially 4th edition. So the pre-reg on games is usually not required - most who play at the show do so because they walk past, see whats happening, jump into a 45 minute delve and then ask what other games they can play.

Anyway, if Events/Organized Play decide to post events on the NYCC 2009 website, then it will happen. If not (other than a generic - come play D&D brief paragraph), it's probably not needed for the show attendees.

For RPGA members looking for games - espeically if you are on the East Coast and unable to attend the excellent D&D Experience event in Fort Wayne - then we'll probably have a brand new RPGA module or two from that show.

Once I know more re: what events we'll have, I'll post here.

I sent you a PM, I would be interested in learning what is required, would be first time running delve for me, but I have gone through them at Gen Con 07 and 08

I live in northern NJ and would not need a hotel room
