| #1zombiegleemaxAug 16, 2004 10:17:33 | Hello! This thread is meant to compile all the requests for looking for fellow gamers as the original intent of this forum was for looking for others at Conventions. Here is a link to the RPG Gamer Classifieds located in another forum on the boards: http://boards1.wizards.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=347 If you're looking to get into the hobby again, I highly recommend picking up a PHB and going to this thread for help: http://boards1.wizards.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=16 Please keep the inquiries to this thread to help keep this board neat and tidy. Good luck! WizO_Shadow |
| #2zombiegleemaxAug 16, 2004 10:37:20 | Pittsburg, PA inquiries: http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/keoland ((Thank you smerwin29!)) Texas: There was someone organizing stuff in Lubbock, but I haven't seen anything scheduled for there recently. If you aren't already, you should join the TexasRPGA yahoo group at: http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/texasrpga/ You'll be able to hook up with lots of other RPGA gamers throughout Texas and at least find out about what cons and other gaming is going on, if there's none in Lubbock. Other groups that might help you out: http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/bandit_kingdoms/ (Living Greyhawk region for Texas & Oklahoma) http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/Living_Metroplex/ (all RPGA, Greater DFW area) http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/planoliving/ (all RPGA, DFW & Plano area) http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/talonrpga/ (all RPGA, North Texas) If all else fails, there is a very active RPGA on-line community. Several sites of interest would be: http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/OnlineGameDay (any and all campaigns) http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/LivingForce (just LF) http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/ArcanisOnline (just LA) http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/CrossroadsOnline (any and all campaigns) http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/LDOnline (just Living Death) http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/DragonstarOnline (just Living Dragonstar) I hope you're getting some ideas. If you go to Yahoo groups and enter RPGA, you'll be able to find LOTS of stuff. And once you get into one group, you can more easily find out about the others. ((Thank you Marcia_S!)) South bay, Ca There are plenty of gaming @South Bay for RPGA gaming. Living Greyhawk is pretty active there: try The Pale Yahoo Group (http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/ThePale/) for Living Greyhawk activities. ((Thank you chengarino!!)) WizO_Shadow |
| #3zombiegleemaxOct 27, 2004 17:00:11 | So where would be the place to post convention announcements, if not here? |
| #4zombiegleemaxOct 27, 2004 18:58:00 | You do post them in this forum! I started this thread because the convention forum was starting to turn into a "find a local gaming group" which isn't the intent of the forum but doing this thread does help keep the RPGA section together a bit. Shadowyness |

I am a student and a couple friends of mine game but we lack a good dm and I am really interested in playing with some other folks for the experience to meet new ppl and learn how to be a better player. | #9guruchazFeb 11, 2005 0:56:43 | New Game club in Dallas Texas. I'm certainly glad to hear this. I live south of Ft. Worth and I was wondering why we never have any gaming conventions around the North Texas area. We need something like Gencon or Winter Fantasy. I have a hard time finding anyone interested in rpg gaming where I live...probably because there's really nowhere to go to meet up. North Texas needs a yearly convention or two badly. |
| #10zombiegleemaxFeb 23, 2005 15:38:38 | You need to read up on A-Kon! If you didn't know already this is DFW's big yearly convention. Last year got a bit hairy but we did manage to get 50 or so tables in. This year promises to be much bigger / better. I personally know every organizer and they're good people who'll get the job done. |

| #43coastiemikeApr 08, 2006 9:52:14 | We have set up a message forum for interested players in the Atlanta and Northwest GA area. Our gaming website can be found at Cobb County RPG Society . Across the top, find the tab that says Forums. From there, feel free to wander around our site. The Yawning Portal forum is for guests and players looking for games, as well as players interested in joining one of our current games. I may also be adding a 4th group after I get back from my honeymoon on May 14. Also, as a side note, all players in my game who are RPGA members and are active in the D&D rewards program receive 1-2 points per game they play in my home campaigns. We just added two new players to Group 1 who had expressed their interest in joining. They were able to get to know current players, and when the two spots opened up, the players in group 1 with the opening were able to see which players would enhance their group and add them as members. I encourage all of you looking for a game, or just friendly chat, to stop by the Yawning Portal Forum and have an ale and share a tale or two. |

| #48redgamerMay 18, 2006 12:53:07 | I'm trying to get in touch with players from Central CT. I know of a group in New Haven and Milford. Does anyone else play between those two cities. Looking for a group as both a player and a judge for irregular or weekly games. |
| #49zombiegleemaxJun 21, 2006 4:40:52 | I hope this is the right forum to post this. If not, sorry and could you give me a heads up where would be a good place to put this? I'm starting a game up and I need players. Any experience range of player is welcome. I hope to meet once per week online in Yahoo!'s chat rooms. All characters need to be new and approved (not strict, just need to check class/race combos) email your character to: d_colodny [at] hotmail [dot] com if you're interested, and I'll check it over and get back to you promptly with basic historical backstory. With regard to personal backstory, I have about 20 canned histories geared to varying motivations, you can select from them, or we can work together to build a fresh one for you. You might be wondering why I'm not playing with some local friends, and I do think that deserves an explanation. I moved from Toronto to outside New York, and my friends, well, they stayed in Toronto. I thought I'd run a game with them online, but it seems that I was the glue holding them together. So, I'm looking elswhere for victims, er, players. Come and join the game and I promise I'll put having fun top priority. Daniel Colodny |
| #50zombiegleemaxJun 21, 2006 8:34:39 | I live in Clifton, New Jersey (YES on purpose!) and recently i find myself clubless since my friend have found jobs, family issues, or moved. Since i need new friend i figured that the best way is to join a club, OR start talking to strangers on the street :P I wonder if there if anyone leaves here or nearby who's club i can grace. ^_^ Please respond via Email so i don't have to lok thorugh the message board one replay at a time. >( Thank you for your time ::bows head:: ~Caine |
| #51kenobi65Jun 21, 2006 9:54:00 | For both of the last two posters: Unless you're specifically looking for an RPGA game (and it doesn't sound like you particularly are, but I could be wrong), you'd probably have better luck looking at the RPG Gamer Classified board, elsewhere here on the WotC boards -- the RPG Game Classifieds feature people looking for all sorts of games, not just RPGA games: http://boards1.wizards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=347 Hope this helps. |
| #52qmslagerJun 26, 2006 13:55:41 | I'm looking for a game in the central Indiana area. My only problems are that I know no one down here who plays and I live in Bloomington but am currently without a car. if you want to come to Bloomington to play I have space for six, a couch a futon and a sleeping room. If a game is being held elsewhere I'd either need a ride or depending on the town will find a ride. I can also DM. Thanks The Slager |

| #59zombiegleemaxOct 14, 2006 9:04:36 | Hey hey! Just created my account here, and unfortunately, have not yet got any miniatures to start playing D&D... :-(. But, I was wondering if there where any places in England I could play. (Literally anything, game clubs, events, compotitions, small campaigns run individually...). I have the Players handbook, and will be buying miniatures/other rulebooks shortly. |
| #60pedrOct 20, 2006 21:55:24 | Hey hey! Hi Blur6! You'll be pleased to know that you don't need miniatures to play D&D. Most RPGA groups or DMs will at least have something to lend you to represent your character on the battlemat - it doesn't need to be an official miniature. Where are you based? There are RPGA groups in various places of the UK, particularly (to my knowledge) Oxford, London, Southampton, Aberdeen, Manchester and Gloucester. If you're near any of these places I can probably point you in the direction of the local groups; if you're elsewhere don't despair - there may well be groups of which I am unaware - drop me a PM or reply and I'll see if I can turn any up for you! Hope that helps! |
| #61wyrmpuffMar 05, 2007 19:13:44 | Well, since custcare says that RPGA doesn't keep a members directory and advices me to post on the boards, here I am. I am a gamer based in Metro Manila in the Philippines. I am looking for other RPGA members to start sanctioned games with. If you guys know of anyone in my neck of the woods, please drop me a line (I can be emailed through the forums). |
| #62talaisanAug 17, 2007 22:15:20 | Good day. I'm a long time player and experienced GM in the middle of nowhere. Billings, MT. I checked the RPGA calender. Not a single event in Montana. Ever. Period. I would dearly love to change this. Anyone suited to assist? |

| #64insanekaosxSep 22, 2007 16:33:35 | Hey, looks like this thread itself isn't too active. Oh well, worth a shot. I'm new to the Springfield, MA area *live just outside there* and I'm looking for a group to play with. IF you're a bunch of players that need a DM, I could potentially take the spot, but I'd rather be a player here. Toss me an email at insanekaosx @ gmail.com Springfield, MA or rightoutside *Chicopee, specifically <<* |
| #65Lanu2000Sep 24, 2007 16:42:55 | Well, it's not THAT close to you insanekaosx, but I run games in Pittsfield, MA (Western Mass.) which is about 1.5 to 2 hours from you. If you need a group once a month or so I can probably get another group together. |

| #71tomjscottMay 05, 2008 17:48:25 | I am looking to find players who are interested in playtesting 4th edition modules before they go to publication. I will be using the D&D Gaming Table as soon as 4th edition hits the shelves in June. So players do not need to be geographically located near me. However, I would prefer people on the west coast to reduce time zone issues. I need at least 6 players for a well-rounded group. I don't yet have a defined day or time for the playtesting sessions. This will depend on player schedules, but will likely be a weekend day in the afternoon or evening. The modules are all in the Realms of Arkonus product line. Originally an old-school module line, they are being converted and expanded into 4th edition. All future modules will be 4e as well. http://www.magiqueproductions.com/roa.htm Please post here or e-mail me at tscott at magiqueproductions dot com. |
