If he's checking this forum this close to the con.

Will we be able to use missed game tickets as generics this year? I ask only because my wife needs to get soem minor surgery on Friday, which was the one day i was goign up, and may be there on Friday, so if I can use them as generics, great. of not, no biggie, but thought I would try to find out ASAP. (although IIRC I think GenCon will also convert such tickets to generics so i can do that as well)

The policy at most of the cons this year has been that while tickets for the current slot, or for later slots, may be valid and/or used as generics - a ticket for a missed event is no longer valid.

This is due mostly to conventions coming around for ticket collection more regularly.

The safest thing would be, if you can, to exchange them for generics. However, while I'm about 98% Dave won't be checking these forums anymore this week (He's already in Indy as of yesterday) - as Judge Coordinator I'm responsible for ticket collection and counting/auditing.

I'll verify what GenCon policy is going to be and report back accordingly.

Once a ticket has expired - we cannot, per GenCon policy, accept that ticket.

Your only real recourse is to get the ticket(s) refunded before, or up to 10 minutes after the slot.

Thanks. The 10 minutes after thing stinks, but I'll roll wit it.
