Hi, I've been thinking of attending an RPGA event for a short while.

However, I cannot open up the events calendar for some reason. I only get an error message.

Can someone give me a few dates for upcoming events in Illinois, Indiana, or Wisconsin? Preferably within the next three months or so?

I live in Chicagoland, and the closer, the better.

Thank you,

What are you doing this weekend?

Stuffed COWS is running at College of DuPage on Friday-Sunday.

Registration is still open, too.

Your best bet is to try the Yahoo! Groups forums for your local region at:
http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/lfrncusa/

Your local region is Waterdeep.

Another place to try would be Warhorn, a scheduling site for many RPGA conventions.

Over at 'High School with an Ashtray,' huh?

Man, I haven't been there in ages. (went there for a year.)

Thank you both.

I'll have to look into it. Although this weekend might not work for me. (blast)

Well, if this weekend doesn't work, CoD has a gaming convention called CodCon, usually in April, and COWS runs RPGA events there, too.

Other than that, we don't have a whole lot of organized events in the Chicago area. However, I'd also recommend joining the COWS Yahoo group, as that's where you can also learn about more informal games being organized:

Thanks again.

My membership is currently pending for COWS.

I like my current group, but a friend in the group and I are interested in playing with others as well, hopefully something that doesn't dissolve in three months.

we have two long running campaigns, one in 2e and one in 3.5. Neither meet often.

Our 4e campaign is new-ish, but we try to meet every other week, although we lost our DM for over a month during the election.

Incase you haven't noticed the thread, D&D Experience is pretty close to you in 2009:

D&D EXP

Promises to be an excellent show if you can make it.

The issue with DDXP, at least this year, is that the nature of the LFR release schedule makes DDXP not particularly attractive to someone who is just starting out in the RPGA / LFR, as there's very little on the schedule for someone without a LFR PC of at least 4th level.

The calendar works just fine, its the link that's broken. The link for it from the main site leads here: http://webapp.wizards.com/tournaments.aspx?brandid=3
