I ran the Slot 0 for Colorado Springs DMs yesterday, and they loved the module. They can't wait to run it for the 9 tables we have scheduled. One DM was a 'no-show,' and my 20-year-old son sat in for another DM that got called into work. They played without the eladrin wizard, and decided early on the they wished they had the wizard.

NOTE: My son has played a little 4E. He just began his senior year at the Art Institute of Colorado, so he has very little free time due to the numerous projects he has as he earns his BA for Media Arts and Annimation. What free time he has is usually (and for good reason) devoted to his girlfriend. So, with little 4E experience, he played the Goliath Barbarian. The DMs at the table were able to coach him through the adventure, but having a 5th level pre-gen character was much easier than what I saw with the last WWGD. Thank you for scaling back on the PC levels, WotC. This WWGD is a lot more player frinedly for new players - witch is what we focus on for these game days.

I'm curious how other Slot 0 tables coped with the a limited healing. I am wondering if the role playing between villiagers and the PCs at the start of the adventure should offer Potions of Healing?

The Skills Challange was one of the best I've seen, as it 'flowed' to different parts - each getting its own focus. The new monsters worked well for the adventure.

There were some grumblings about the choices of powers the pre-generated characters had, but overall the Slot 0 showed the event can easily be completed in the 3-hour time slots I have scheduled.

The climatic last encounter was the long one (of course). And the when the dust settled, all PCs were bloodied (and no more healing was possible). It pushed them to the brink, which a great gaming session does. Of course, it helps when I only missed one recharge of the breath weapon. :D

Ran it for my gm's a few weeks ago (PDF only of course).

Was rather enjoyable. A ton better than trying to do level 11 characters out of the box :D

I have heard that the pregens were actual made using the Character Builder this time around.

Does this mean that the dreaded typos that seem to come with every RPGA pregen before now are a thing of the past?

They are indeed made with the CB. I haven't checked them for errors, but scanning I did see some sub-optimal power choices. Not that it's a bad thing.
