Is there any RPGA sanctioned/authorized "Living X, Y, Z" online play?

I had read that D&D Insider supported, or intended to support in the future, some manner of online table topping. For the life of me I can't seem to find any reference to it now, though.

Basically, I'm (comparatively) old, with family, kids, etc etc etc and the days of getting together at a buddy's house for pizza and dice rolls are over. I'm sure many are in the same boat.

Thanks much for any answers or guidance.

Living Forgotten Realms (and 4E RPGA camapgins in general) allow for online play, as per the Character Creation Guide.

DDI's "virtual tabletop" known at the DDI Game Table isn't available yet - however there are a variety of other VTTs on the market, most of them with some degree of 4E support.

The two "online" RPGA groups I know of use Fantasy Grounds II and Maptool. Their respective Yahoo Mailing lists are as follows (for use in finding games):

Fantasy Grounds RPGA Group
Maptools RPGA Group

Hope that helps!

Online Game Day is a Yahoo Group where online RPGA play has been organized for years now. The vast majority of games on the OGD list are done using OpenRPG, which is a shareware program.

In short, RPGA allows online play, but doesn't prescribe a particular program or way to do it (though, when and if the DDI Game Table utility comes to pass, I'd imagine that they'll encourage using that).

Great, thanks for the responses. I'll start exploring those links and hopefully get involved soon. =)

Thanks again.

Bah, knew I'd miss one.

I'm the creator of the rpgconnect.org website which enables people to meet up and play online D&D. It is schedule based not forum or e-mail based. Making it easier to find an actual game that fits your calendar. We are in the process of setting up weekly games (probably Sunday afternoons for now)

How does a DM sanction/report a game since it is not in a "public venue" even if it's open to the public?

Currently, as a home game. It's a bit weird but it's how we're supposed to do it for the nonce.
