1. How do you become a Master Level GM?

2. If the level of your group is 3 can a new player make a level three character and join the game with that or must they make a level one character and come up that way?

3. I just saw a thread saying that someone had received their DnD Reward stuff in the mail. Are all of those mailed out at the same time, and can I expect mine?

Thanks a lot as always.

1. How do you become a Master Level GM?

You can only become a master level GM at this time with the 3.5 edition tests. You have to take and pass the 3.5 Herald test, then, after 3 months I think it is, you can take the Master level test. Once you pass the Master level test, you are considered a Master level GM.

The 3.5 Herald test, of course, requires access to the 3 core 3.5 rulebooks.

The 3.5 Master test requires the same access, and also having some of the rules and rules-related documents from the RPGA download page, as it asks tests about things like the RRPGA code of conduct stuff.

2. If the level of your group is 3 can a new player make a level three character and join the game with that or must they make a level one character and come up that way?

This is situational. For a home game, it is up to the DM, but most of them prefer having PCs all around the same level. For an LFR campaign, the rules require that all new PCs start at 1st level and work their way up.

Other RPGA campaigns are, basically, to be determined (TBD). In the past, some of the RPGA D&D campaigns have used level bumps at pre-determined intervals, usually when the next batch of adventures in the campaign were released, especially since, unlike LFR, the previous adventures would be pretty much retired before the next batch come out.

3. I just saw a thread saying that someone had received their DnD Reward stuff in the mail. Are all of those mailed out at the same time, and can I expect mine?

I believe that they are mailed out as a mass mailing, so it can take a few days for the whole mailing to go out. And, as long as you were actively playing, and properly reported for at least one game during, from March to November 2008, you should get one or the other reward card mailing.

If your point total for the time period was at least one, but less than 100, you will receive a batch of three cards, along with the password and directions to retrieve a PDF file with 19 cards (and the card back) in it.

If your point total for the time period was at least 100 points, you will receive the batch of three cards, along with another batch of 10 cards, along with the PDF password and directions.

The three card batch are all LFR cards.

The ten card batch is 8 LFR cards and 2 Star Wars cards.

All 11 LFR cards, along with the 8 LFR cards from the last successful rewards mailing, are included in the PDF file.

Hope this answers all your questions.

Just as an add on to what Kinevon said, you must be signed up for the rewards program to have received the cards. If you haven't signed up to this, you won't get them, you are not signed up just by having an RPGA membership, you must go and do it on the website.

Are you talking about LFR or a Home Game you are sanctioning for Rewards Points
