What IS new is my recent acceptance as a VCL (Volunteer Community Lead) for the RPGA subset of forums.
VCL? Is that a Dragon Magazine item to be unlocked? Not quite. Here's the cut-and-dry answer:

VCL program defined by CM
VCLs are Volunteer Community Leads. They are volunteers who answer to the Community Management side of the forums. They are responsible for assisting in the content moderation of the forums. Content moderation is ensuring that posts are in the proper forum, that threads that have gone wildly off-topic are closed in addition to stickying threads and gathering information from the community. They are chosen by WotC based on their posting history on the forums and their track record of helping people. VCLs work directly with WizOs for editorial moderation; the VCL asks that a moderation task be done, the WizOs perform the task. VCLs work with FLs, CM, and the WizOs to perform their tasks.

Welcome, Wolfstar! I'm glad we have a VCL for the area now - I was feeling left out! I'm off to GenCon UK tomorrow, but once I'm back I'll see if I can give you a hand with the FAQ you're putting together. Send me a PM to remind me if I don't get in touch!
PM will be sent right after this post - and I appreciate the offers of help. Alas, as a "greenhorn" VCL I don't think I qualify to have official Forum Guides, but don't let that stop you from helping out. If I keep this position long enough I should be able to assign a few of you to tasks and get someone to pin fancy-schmancy titles on your chests as well (It only stings for a few minutes, why they don't pin them to our shirts I'll never really understand).

Fortunately playing nice is the least of my worries here. If the RPGA forums weren't a nice place I wouldn't have made it this long. For the first couple years here on the boards, these were the only forums I read. The rest can be scary.
