| #1wraith235Aug 18, 2008 15:23:55 | so I decided to see if my Error had cleared up today and it had ... sort of ... I had 15 events Lined up I deleted them because I have no Idea which one was the Right one ... and now Im getting this message when trying to sanction a home game You currently do not have any approved locations for sanctioning this type of event. Please contact the DCI/RPGA to set up an approved location. I am Really starting to get frustrated with this new setup |
| #2vaderssonAug 18, 2008 15:30:49 | I tried to set up the Star Wars DoD adventure and now Star Wars is not even a choice. What happened here? Thanks, Duncan |
| #3pedrAug 18, 2008 15:31:10 | I know I'm saying this to a lot of people - are you making sure that every time you log in you click 'Dungeons and Dragons' or make sure that Dungeons and Dragons has a red box around it, among all the icons for the various types of WotC games? Oops, that was in response to Wraith. The very un-intuitive answer to vadersson is that Star Wars: Saga events come under Dungeons and Dragons, I think. I'm pretty sure I've seen the Dawn of Defiance in the list of RPGA scenarios. |
| #4wraith235Aug 18, 2008 15:33:21 | I am yes .... this one is interesting ... Home / Retail it wont let me sanction .... but Gameday / special event gameday / convention it will oh and this is when I use the drop down Menu with Con / gameday / home game ect. Sweet Went and tried to setup a games day .... the mods arent even there |
| #5pedrAug 18, 2008 15:40:34 | I see. The facility to add a new location seems to have gone. Hmm. |
| #6warfteinerAug 18, 2008 15:57:33 | I had a new player recently. I added his RPGA number and it prompted me for his name, so I entered it. When I tried to add this new player to the event, the screen wipes and I get a database error screen. I am now unable to enter the data for the two slot 0s that were also part of this order... players are sorta wondering about me now. ;) Hope we can get some answers soon! |
| #7wraith235Aug 18, 2008 16:22:03 | I, too, have been having a lot of issues with the new direction of the database. I had a similar on part 2 I got around it by entering his RPGA info into a non Tracked game (Non LFR) and it worked fine |
| #8pedrAug 18, 2008 17:08:37 | The location issue appears to be resolved - I just checked and there's now a box to enter a new location name, at least when I look. |
| #9OldtimerAug 19, 2008 13:27:29 | Yes, but the rest of the system is just dead. ![]() I've been trying for the last four days to set up a sanctioned event. I've mailed DCI support. Nothing. Is the online support for RPGA officially dead? |
| #10pedrAug 19, 2008 13:36:21 | At this point I'd open a ticket at http://wizards.custhelp.com and see whether they can sort it. It's working for me, and others, so there must be something odd going on with your account. |
| #11KlaytorAug 19, 2008 14:33:49 | Yes, the support e-mail/system does work. In order to correct this problem, I had to log out and back in and the problem fixed itself. |
| #12OldtimerAug 19, 2008 16:18:35 | At this point I'd open a ticket at http://wizards.custhelp.com and see whether they can sort it. They couldn't. They referred me to another wizards.com mail address. This is getting ridiculous. |
| #13pedrAug 19, 2008 17:20:12 | Well there are clearly the inevitable teething troubles with a migration of this size, but what's odd and worrying is that in general the system is working, albeit with a few wrinkles. That it's not working for you is a problem! Are you trying to create public events (Convention/Game Day/Retail)? If so let me know some of the details (location, date, etc) and I'll see if I can see them on the public listings. |
