| #4LordDrakeApr 25, 2008 15:37:35 | So, are you forced to have a DCI# with extra digits now and lose your nice 6 digit RPGA#? That's why I haven't changed my address I Don't Want A DCI#![]() |

It so happens that the system now creates a DCI number out of your RPGA number, but your RPGA number remains the variable-digit number that you got on your RPGA card. You cannot put a DCI number into the RPGA system, and you can't put an RPGA number into the DCI system, though if you log into the RPGA members' site you can find a DCI number based on your RPGA number which I imagine would work in the DCI system if you wanted to use it. I've not tried it (never played anything that requires a DCI number) and I have no idea what those extra digits are - my RPGA number is the same one I've always used. |

It depends on how many digits you have in your RPGA# My number (986xxxx) had a 310 appended to it for DCI (310986xxxx). I've never played anything for the DCI, but it's good to know I already have a number if I change my mind. I think the current RPGA numbers (410xxxxxxx or 411xxxxxxx) are the same numbers you'd get for DCI (no need to add 310) but that's a "reasoned guess." |
