| #1pedrApr 20, 2009 18:04:47 | Potentially something for the FAQs etc, and info for those of us who periodically answer questions from new/confused posters... As noted in various threads, the dci@wizards.com and WPN@wizards.com addresses don't work any more. I asked Customer Services how to contact people with WPN (etc) related questions in future and 'Ian' from 'The WPN Team, Organized Play, WotC' (so quite possibly the Ian) confirmed that the WotC Customer Services system (the 'Email Us' tab at www.wizards.com/customerservice) is the way to contact the DCI/RPGA/WPN - the system will pass the email to people in WPN to be dealt with. People outside the US can continue to correspond with their local offices via email as before - there is a list of contacts here: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dci/sanction/tocontact -- I would imagine that the most useful uses for this would be to obtain blank DCI cards (more easily sent from in-country or in-continent!) and support in local languages, where available. One advantage of this is that the customer service system is active for longer hours than the office hours kept by people who were checking the dci@ and WPN@ addresses. Ian says that "the online system is available with answers 24/7 packed full of answers and help." I'd imagine that part of that is the 'guess what question you're asking' game it plays, which sometimes returns useful information without needing the intervention of a human, but I think that the customer service team keeps longer hours than the DCI/WPN people did, so some things may be dealt with faster even if it does need a human response. I have seen reports of occasional (and sometimes significant) issues preventing access to the Email Us tab. There is a thread here: http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?t=1133626 which ORCs are observing. If after following the advice in the first post you still can't get at the Email Tab, post in the thread and an ORC will investigate and email you to get the problem resolved so you can access customer services. |
