I have a complaint.  The complaint is about the pregens.  The pregens are identical to the previous encounters session.  I was hoping the pregens for this session would take advantage of the new Heroes of Shadow material.

The Town:

Duponde, a town on the banks of the White River, a few days’ travel north of Harkenwold.

Harkenwold is 10 miles from the White River.  Considering there are Dense Forest, Mountains, Swamps between the PC most either be crawling.  Even an ox cart can cover 80% of the distance if traveling across country over the rolling plains depicted in the DMG, hell with only 2 miles to go they can add an hour to their day’s travel and be there in time for a meal.

The DMK map shows that Harken is the town and Harkenwold the region of rolling plains encompassing Harken and five villages: Albridge, Marl, Tor’s Hold, Dardun, and East Hill.  The only crossing of the King’s Road and the White occurs at Albridge, 9 miles from Harken.  This area is to well known to drop another town in arbitrarily.

swmabie’s article comment
Based on last month's Nerathi Legends article placing Sarthel along the coast which is south of where it looks like Fallcrest is on the big map, I'd say that Duponde *should* be south of the Witchlight Fens; I'd guess that when the White and Nentir Rivers connect, that they continue south as the White River, not as the Nentir River.  If you look at the darkened part of the big map for this month's Nerathi Legends article, you can see what looks to be Lake Nen just above the R in Nerath.   So that puts Fallcrest just below the E, and Duponde about halfway from there to the coast.

It's bad when we know their geography better than they do, and they haven't even made the full map public yet.
