If DDXP isn't in your future, but you still want to hear about all the latest and greatest news that will be pouring out of the show (think like what's coming in D&D Organized Play, the product lineup for the first half of 2010, and all the other good seminars, including DarkSun) - there's some good news!

It's my understanding that the podcasting equipment will be heading to Fort Wayne, IN to attend the show, record the assorted seminars - and that those seminars will be uploaded for all to enjoy after the fact.

Now, I don't know if this will be happening during the show (as I, personally, REALLY hope for) or if this will be happening sometime next week - but my sources make it sound like each seminar will be a podcast unto itself - and in its entirety.

So keep your ears peeled for all the news trickling out of DDXP.  I know I'll be looking for those podcasts as soon as they become available.

First season is Undermountain.  In this case only, PCs may be exported at end to LFR
adventure is searching for the last apprentice of Halaster, written by Erik Scott de Bie

standard PR about Community sites.

couple of questions
- No info on Q1 LFR adventure release dates...when Chris has a solid list
- Not sure about availability of BI from DDXP, ADCP2-1, due to its size.

That is it folks.

Great Keith, thanks for the info. Anything more specific about certain products?

Especially all the D&DE

They talked a lot about the D&D Essentials (D&DE) line.  Necessary because new players don't know what to buy, store owners what to stock, etc.

So the D&D Essentials represents the core of what 4e D&D is, and will remain in print.  If a player or DM want to buy more books, PH1, PH2, PH3, DMG1, DMG2, etc., etc., all good, but the core gets the gamer new to D&D started.

If you want more details, I suggest looking for the podcast.  Also, the D&DE products are at a lower price point.

I have a question about the D&D Encounters, it looks cool, but about the Wednesday night thing.. is that a set thing like Friday Night Magic is?

Thanks!

That was asked. The store can elect to run on another night, BUT there is a sexy on-line component (I think it may involver tweeter) that would be lost.  They say, try hard.

I really hope that it isn't a TWITTer thing.  As much as I love giving my players the best experience I'm able to, I just can't bring myself to jump on that bandwagon.

Thanks for the recap.  Some exciting things to look forward to, some classic old-type stuff, and some new (hopefully innovative) stuff!

I got in touch with my WPN rep on this subject because the store my gameday is based out of has a robust Warhammer program on Wednesday, there is no way the owner is going to shift that cash cow to another day for an untested WotC program (and let's be frank, WotC has a track record for yanking things pretty damn quick).

So, here is what was said:

QUESTION:

Brian,

Angel and I are very interested in running D&D Encounters but Wednesdays are already filled at her store location. We have some questions:

1) How soon before the Wednesday do we get the kits for the gameday. This will help us prep our judges.

2) I have heard that we can shift the day to another. Is this true? If so, can we running it one day early on Tuesday? If not how far out can we run the event and still report it. One day, a week?

Thanks,

Bryan Blumklotz

ANSWER:

Bryan,

Kits are going to ship on 3/10, so you should have it around 3/15.  You can shift the day to another if you wish, Tuesday is fine.  All advertisement and social networking marketing will point to Wednesdays, so we suggest that, but it is not required.  You can run that week’s session more than once if you wish, you would just need to schedule more than one session for that week.  Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Thanks.

I hope this helps.
