Now that there's been a number of changes and a new edition, do I need to re-register for RPGA again to particpate in RPGA events?

Nope!

Your enumber is still active, however, pending a recent merge of the RPGA player database with the DCI player database, your number might need a little modification.

In short - all RPGA numbers are now at least 9 digits long, having been incremented by 100,000,000. If your old number was 123456 - your new number is now 100123456.
