Hi again.

"...as I said..." I new here .... many doubts...

Well, my firts question is:

1 - When I do(make) a D&D Home Game , all the PC have to follows the Char. Rules Creation.....but I don't understand ONE thing......Is true that ALL my players have to "insert" they Char information on(in) the Wizards system ?? ( in My Char )

2 - Is true that players don't recieve ANY prize for playing a D&D Game Day ?? If they recieve something , what is ?

3 - I was thinking about be a DM for a Xen'drik Expeditions campaigns for my group , but the current campaign is in 10th level...... When we start, we'll start in 10th level or in 1st level?

4 - After sanctioned a Home Play , how many days will take for I can make the adventure download?

5 - I read somewhere that One-Shoot Adventures "give me" ( for me and my group ) more rewards points . (about 4 points) It is true ?... Where I can see this "table of points rewarded" ?

6 - When I'll make a D&D Convention .. Can I order some Kits from WotC ??...Where I can see this "Kits" ???.....This purchase, is like a normal ordering ?? ( I pay the shippment , or is free shipping ??)

Is all for now,
sorry for the many ( ... ) , but my english is so good like a axe without rod is good for cutting..

See ya

1 - When I do(make) a D&D Home Game , all the PC have to follows the Char. Rules Creation.....but I don't understand ONE thing......Is true that ALL my players have to "insert" they Char information on(in) the Wizards system ?? ( in My Char )

If you're running an RPGA campaign, like Living Forgotten Realms, then yes, they need to put their character information in the online system (really, all it asks for is the character name).

If you're running a home campaign (for example, adventures that you've written yourself), then, no, they don't have to enter anything in the system (in fact, there isn't any place in the system for them to enter such information).

When you go to report a session of a home campaign, the system may actually ask you to report XP and GP, but you don't have to do so (and I have no idea what the system would do with that information anyway).

2 - Is true that players don't recieve ANY prize for playing a D&D Game Day ?? If they recieve something , what is ?

It's true; players no longer accumulate rewards points. But, twice a year, your players, if they're signed up in the system, will get access to a PDF file with "player reward cards" in it which they can use.

3 - I was thinking about be a DM for a Xen'drik Expeditions campaigns for my group , but the current campaign is in 10th level...... When we start, we'll start in 10th level or in 1st level?

Xen'drik Expeditions is no longer an active RPGA campaign; it ended at the end of 2008. The only current RPGA campaign is Living Forgotten Realms; LFR characters start at 1st level.

4 - After sanctioned a Home Play , how many days will take for I can make the adventure download?

It should be available for download immediately after you finish setting up your event.

5 - I read somewhere that One-Shoot Adventures "give me" ( for me and my group ) more rewards points . (about 4 points) It is true ?... Where I can see this "table of points rewarded" ?

There are sections of the RPGA web site with out-of-date information, and it sounds like you found one of them. The only reward points that are now rewarded are for GMs...and each adventure is worth 1 point now.

This article, from early this year, when they made the changes to the reward system, may be helpful for you to read:

http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=rpga/rewards/welcome

6 - When I'll make a D&D Convention .. Can I order some Kits from WotC ??...Where I can see this "Kits" ???.....This purchase, is like a normal ordering ?? ( I pay the shippment , or is free shipping ??)

This, I don't know. WolfStar (our VCL here) may be able to help with that.

Hope this helps!

Xen'drik Expeditions is no longer an active RPGA campaign; it ended at the end of 2008. The only current RPGA campaign is Living Forgotten Realms; LFR characters start at 1st level.

Well, I only know "how to play" 3.5D&D . The LFR campaign .. Is only for 4.0 D&D ??? Or can I Play LFR in the 3.5 system(rules) ??....
And if the adventure is written by myself.....so..ca we play LRF or some adventure from the LFR..or they are exclusive from 4.0D&D sources ??

Anyway , ty for the help. ^^:D

-----

The One-Shoot Adventures...are they no longer avaliable?? or I can download some ones?

LFR is 4th edition. WOTC no longer supports and has not supported any previous edition for almost a year now.

You can run your own home campaign and just report it as such so that you can get credit as a GM. Otherwise you and your players will have to change to 4th edition and follow the guidelines set forth by the Character Creation Guidelines.

It isn't RPGA but Paizo's Pathfinder campaign is using 3.5 until they release their rules this summer. No player or DM rewards there that I am aware of and you have to use their scenarios for it to count in their campaign. For Living Forgotten Realms you must use the official scenarios and 4th edition D&D, but there are a ton of scenarios and DM modification is allowed.

2 - Is true that players don't recieve ANY prize for playing a D&D Game Day ?? If they recieve something , what is ?

Player's have always received something: at least 4 hours of entertainment for free. I'm Not picking on you specifically, but man... WotC really created a swag hungry crowd when they did the player rewards. I have seen so many posts from people along the lines of "OMG, we dont' get any swag for playign any more? Then what's the point?" It's all about the phat lewts apparently. (reminds me of some big Cons I've gone to and some DM whines about swag)

Well, I only know "how to play" 3.5D&D . The LFR campaign .. Is only for 4.0 D&D ??? Or can I Play LFR in the 3.5 system(rules) ??....

To expand on the previous answer: LFR is 4e only. LFR is published LFR modules only. You can run a home game that is non-LFR and get RPGA credit for it. If your players have played through some LFR modules and then they run those PCs through a module written by you, then they are no longer LFR legal.

The character legality in regards to LFR is only goign to be a problem if you wish to take your characters to other game days or conventions and use that character. If it's only for a home game, then the rules are more lax on character creation and advancement.

A question..... When we(my group) play some adventure writted by me(myself) , Need we to report the adventure ?? ( when I said report , I wanna mean insert they PC information on My Characters menu ).

There is a post that show me HOW I do the report (step-by-step) for my "created" adventure ??

TY all u guys for helping me :D

The character input is only for LFR characters. You only report the characters when you play an LFR game. However, as was said before, if you want the PCs to remain LFR legal they cannot gain any benefit from an adventure you wrote. (no xp, gp, items, etc.)

You must not mix Living Forgotten Realms and other games.

If you are playing Living Forgotten Realms then the characters you play in Living Forgotten Realms can only play Living Forgotten Realms adventures.

If you are playing adventures which are not Living Forgotten Realms adventures - whether those are from Dungeon Magazine, or Keep on the Shadowfell, or ones you wrote yourself - the characters played can not ever play Living Forgotten Realms.

You only need to enter GP and XP values - and other information - for Living Forgotten Realms adventures. The boxes which allow input of that information for other adventures are there by mistake and should not be filled in.

I hope that helps!

Enjoy playing!

1 - Well, if my group are playing a writted (by me) adventure , all I need is input the GP and XP information on report ?

If you are playing modules written by you, then you order and report them as Home Games so that YOU get GM credit for them. You do not enter exps or gold into the report fields for your players.

2 - If we are playing (again) a writted by me adventure, and some time later we wanna to play LFR campaign....what we have to do?? ( stop my writted adventure , so then , input our chars(pc) information on system?

When you choose to play LFR your players have to create new 1st level characters according to the Character Creation Guidelines v1.8. Those characters can only be used when playing published LFR modules. They can not play in your self written modules and LFR modules, only LFR modules.

I recommend that you download and read the CCGv1.8 and read it several times. The 1st part of the guide is general rules for the RPGA. But really read the section on LFR because it uses the 1st part but also modifies it for the campaign.

Ty guys, almost all my doubts are cleared now.

But, 2 more things.

1 - When I'll sanctioned a D&D Home Play , I still have a doubt about... How to report?! ........ when I'l'l create a Home Play , Need I to download a adventure ( in choose/select adventures for my Home Play ) ??? Or I leave this box empty ?
Please..will healp a lot some "template" (exemple) for How can I report this event.

2 - And finally , where I can get ( donwload ) the CCGv1.8 ??? ( can u post a link ) ??.

I really appreciate all the helping.

Please..will healp a lot some "template" (exemple) for How can I report this event.

When you set up the event, rather than selecting a particular LFR adventure, you'll be selecting an "adventure" called "D&D Home Campaign" -- there's actually two different ones in there, one for "Forgotten Realms", and one for "Other". Pick whichever one of those two better describes what you'll be doing. While the event system will have a file for you to download for this "adventure", the file doesn't actually contain an adventure, just information on how to report your home campaign for RPGA credit.

Then, when you go to report the event (after you play), all you'll do is enter the RPGA numbers for yourself and your players. (The system will also have spaces for you to enter XP and GP, but, as was previously noted here, you can ignore those.)

2 - And finally , where I can get ( donwload ) the CCGv1.8 ??? ( can u post a link ) ??.

It's downloadable from the LFR home page:
http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/lfrx/characters

Near the top of this page, there's a link for "download the RPGA Character Creation Guide".

Hope this helps.

a )I want to know what are they and HOW can I make ( sanctione ) one of they.....

If you run multiple sessions, you should receive multiple GM points, one for each session you GM.

The D&D Private Event is what used to be a home game. Not open to the public, no matter what location it is run at.

Dungeons & Dragons WPN is divided into several options.

D&D Delve Night - - download is for sanctioning the current month's D&D Delve Night for play. The Delves are 4 encounters, set-up as a sequence of play for a specific level. The April Delve is for 5th level characters. These are episodic in nature, so one month's delve could be 5th level, and another month's could be 10th level.

D&D Delve Night - is for sanctioning the next month's Delve as a hardcopy that is sent to the location in the mail. It must be sanctioned before the 16th of the month in order to work, and the hardcopy doesn't always arrive by the first of the month. The store I run the Delves for usually sanctions the hardcopy, but I usually wind up sanctioning the download around the first of the month so I have a copy of the adventure to prepare with.

D&D Game Day - May 2009 is for sanctioning the D&D Worldwide Game Day event for the release of the Monster Manual 2. The adventure for the release is for 5th level PCs, and includes 5 pregenerated PCs. If sanctioned early enough, the location can receive the kits, which include minis for the 5 PCs and the monsters, along with the hardcopy of the module and maps.

D&D WPN (Public Event) is for the old Game Days, Retail and Convention events.

Note that anything sanctioned as a Dungeons & Dragons WPN game must be open to the public, so it will be posted on the RPGA calendar, and you might get walk-ins as well as the people you can expect to see, your regulars.

So..for play (sanction) a D&D Delve Night..the PC must have a "equal" level character for the Adventure??? Or the Delve Nights adventures already have an number of pregenerate pcs?

If I sanction(register) NOW a May D&D Game Day ..... Will I recieve in my mail the Kits for playing ??(and DCI or RPGA membership cards)?? How it works..(I mean.. how many days early I have to register the event to recieve the kits..)....and..If they don't arrive(come) to me until the event date...can I make the adventure download like in the Sanctioning system ?? ( for play we don't need the "minis"... we need only the adventure and the RPGA cards).

well...this is my doubts for now.

The Delves are all stand-alone events and unconnected to any other campaign.

You create a new character for the delve at whatever level the delve specifies. The instructions are in the RPGA character Creation Guide.

I'm not sure about your second question as I've never ordered one of those events.

Someone else might know the answer to this but I think the kits are only available in the contiguous United States. I could be wrong though

Historically, different gamedays have been available to be shipped to different parts of the world. As far as I know, all have been available within the USA/Canada. Other countries tend to receive material based on the strength of the local distributor. The only way to be sure is to e-mail the WPN people and ask.
