I've sanctioned an event, using the new ordering system for the first time. It says that to download the module, go to my events. But I go to My Events, and there's no link to any modules. I click on the link for the event itself, and there's no link to any modules. What am I doing wrong?

When you click on the event, the record should include a list of the games you ordered, with links. It is possible that you've ordered placeholder events, in which case there is no link. Make sure you scroll down.

If just scrolling doesn't do it, some more info please. What's the event ID and what adventures did you order?

Ordered one module, the first Moonshae module.

Role Participation
Coordinator Participated

Adventures:
Adventure Reward Points
MOON1-1 Nature's Wrath 4

I would think that's where the module download link should be, but there's nothing but text.

It's not you, the system is messed up again. My events have lost their links, too. Contact your PoC and he can provide the adventure file for you.

I'd guess all the other backend updating they were doing on Friday mucked things up a bit.

Give it a little time and it should go back to normal.

In the meantime your Regional Admins (and in case of emergency, your Global Admins) should be able to provide you copies of any modules you need.

The issue still exists. Luckily I am married to a regional admin, so contacting him will not be a problem.

I suppose the issue will not be fixed until regular business hours, i.e. Monday.

RPGA and WotC,

Please fix the problem with ordering mods. Presently, the ability to download any mods is not functioning.

Thanks

Keep in mind the problem wasn't discovered until Friday, and most WotC staffers only do a half-day on Fridays (then they break out and play the games they create - which makes sense, and sounds pretty awesome).

So, the odds are nobody will be able to look at this until Monday.

The good news is, with all the other website work they're doing to prepare for DDI it shouldn't be hard to get a set of eyes on the problem.

I actually experienced this problem last weekend, and my email to DCI has gone unanswered. If they actually paid attention to their emails, they would have known about this problem a week ago.

And as of today, it doesn't look likely that the GenCon numbers for my slots run (8, plus a slot 0) aren't going to be recorded by the October 15th deadline. So, my four points for one more adventure run isn't going to amount to a whole hell of a lot.

Wolfstar, I don't know if you can pass on word to TPTB, but the DCI email thing is a crock, and doesn't seem to get any sort of real response from WotC.

I was able, personally, to download a module middle of last week, so it may have been an intermittant problem (or perhaps I was just lucky).

I've not official word to go on, but I'm pretty sure the links to download RPGA modules broke after they updated some of the backend code to prepare for DDI on Thursday. The two seem to be related from where I sit.

Can't speak to the usefulness of the dci e-mail address, except to say the couple e-mails I've sent (about customer service-type things like getting new cards) have been answered promptly (hope to see those cards this week. . . ).

It's my understanding that the webpage(s) for Wizards are run through a completely different department however (likely just a subset of the IT dept). So DCI/RPGA/Whomever doesn't have a lot of direct control over what gets posted/edited/fixed/changed.

Seems to be a process of "submit a request, hope it gets done" from what I've seen.

I don't have any direct channels to TPTB beyond what you all have, but I'm sure the Admins will note what's posted here and make notes.

I downloaded CORE1-1 last week but when I returned to get CORE1-2 and Adap1-1 for a Living Forgotten Realms event I have this weekend they were gone. Does anyone have these and would be willing to send them to me?

The Event Managers and PoCs for each region have been empowered to send adventures to Senior DMs via email until the problem is fixed. You can find a list of PoCs and their email addresses here: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/lfrx/community.

Provide them with the event code for the event you are running, and they should be able to help you out.

I just realized that today was Columbus Day, so I am guessing that Wizards is closed today and it will be tomorrow before they can fix it. I ordered and ran an event on Sunday but I already had the mod downloaded from a previous game day. I am trying to order and download events for next Sunday but am still unable to download them.

As Shawn mentions, above, e-mail your Regional PoC and they should be able to get you the mod(s).

If you - or anyone, really - is still having issues please refer to my goofy-looking thread about how to order adventures and sanction gamedays. Be warned, there are a lot of images and if you're on a dial-up or mobile connection it might get, well, ugly. Like a goblin on prom night. Yuck.

However: if you've done all that and still can't grab the files for whatever reason please contact your regional Point Of Contact like the two-above poster said.
