Finishing an event

Hi everyone,

I've recently sanctioned an RPG event for in-home play. While I've figured out most of that process, I can't yet see the report form (since the event hasn't yet taken place), and two questions have arisen for me that may be relevant when I report the event.

First, as I sanctioned it, I selected two modules so that I could look over them and see which I thought would work better for our group. When I report the event, will I report which module we used? Certainly we won't play both that evening. Or do I need to go back and somehow specify which module we're playing? Perhaps this will be obvious when I report, but if I need to modify the event as sanctioned ahead of time, I don't see how to do so.

Second, our group is fairly young, including children ages 8 and 10 (along with their parents, so we have some older voices to help things along). Our schedules are fairly packed, so we were only able to find an evening to get together. What if we don't have time to finish the module? Due to inexperience on all our parts, I suspect things will run rather slowly, and we might hit the end of the evening (in terms of energy level and behavior) before we have time to finish the module. Is this relevant when I report the event?

Thanks for any help you can give.

When you're reporting the session, you'll be asked what module was played, so no worries there.

Second, our group is fairly young, including children ages 8 and 10 (along with their parents, so we have some older voices to help things along). Our schedules are fairly packed, so we were only able to find an evening to get together. What if we don't have time to finish the module? When you report the module none of the characters who played that module will be able to play it again. If you think you'll run a 2nd session to finish what you started, don't report it.

On the other hand, if you think your group got "far enough" or you skipped a few bits to make sure you got to the end, then you can go ahead and report it as complete.

Thanks for any help you can give.

Hope I helped.

If you think you'll run a 2nd session to finish what you started, don't report it.

So we might get to the end of the evening, decide we want to finish, and come up with another time to meet up, finish the module, and only then I report the event? Excellent. That's a useful option.

Hope I helped.

Absolutely. Thanks a bunch.
