The current Herald-Level GM is for v3.5 and now that v4 is out I would like to know if the GM program will change to the 4.0 rule set.

Thanks for any reply's, help or answers to my question.

There is a Herald-level test for 4e that is in the Exam Center. Unfortunately there is not a Master-level test... but who knows, maybe soon ;)

Thanks for the info

Hey do you know if you have to go through Master before you can go to Herald?

Nope!

You must be a Herald to take the Master test. You're in luck; since there's no Master test (yet) you're automatically at the top of the class when you pass ;)

Actually, it's the opposite. Herald is the "basic" DM certification; Master is the next level.

Sorry about that, I realize it now :embarrass

I haven't found on the website anything about becoming a GM for the v4 rule set and don't subscribe just yet. I would like to become a GM to run sanctioned events but I don't have any desire to go through the 3.5 rule set. I really like how the 4.0 is done and it makes things allot more easy to run and manage.

From your DCI/RPGA login, click on Judge Center in the link box on the right. In the Judge Center, click on the Exams link. Then click on the Create tab. Choose RPGA DUngeon & Dragons and the language of your choice (English appears to be the only option at present), then click on Next. On that page, you should see 3 options: 4th Edition Herald; 3.5 Edition Herald; and 3.5 Edition Master. Availability will vary.

You can only take a Herald test once every 24 hours, if I remember correctly. I believe that the Master test requires a week between attempts, and 3 months as a Herald before you can try it the first time.
