Ok, I have membership cards (10 digit) to register my new players. Now what? It looka like they tear off their card, they complete the info section, fold at the perforation and mail to the RPGA and then wait for activation. Any way to do this online? If not, I'm assuming they receive a letter (email?) that they are activated along with a temp password for logging in? Also assuming they can only register for rewards once activated (only makes sense).

Do I have this right, or just enough to be dangerous?

Once you enter their number to report them as players in one of your events, their number will be live.

Now, I haven't tried this yet in the new system, but previously, when you entered a number that wasn't active yet the system would ask you to enter the first and last name for the player.

Once you did that, they were active.

If they signed up for rewards after that, but BEFORE you finished submitting the session they could get reward points for that first session.

Nice...thanks for the quick response! So...do they have any need to mail in to the RPGA (assuming they dont need a parent or guardian to sign in continental Europe)?

Not really, no, but I'd still suggest you do so anyway. I think they still like to collect the cards for assorted clerical reasons.

Personally, I just drop them all in one envelope to save on postage.

It used to be that the default password was WA98055 (STATE+ZIP for Renton, Washington). I haven't heard that that's changed yet.

Once they're logged in they will see an option on the right for "My Characters" but if they're playing LFR for the first time you'll be able to assign Gold/EXP/etc to "default character" #1.

Thanks for information but how will they know the ZIP code? Is it the zip code of the event? Cause I dont recall putting a city in the sanctioning.

Also what about the points? Do they miss out on these points because I submitted before they signed up?

When you mail in a card they set the first password on the account to the member's state+zip (I'm in 44107 in OH, so my default password OH44107). When you enter someone online, they just get defaulted to Renton, WA (where WotC is located) so the default password is WA98055.

Yes, points are generated when the "submit" button is pressed. If they weren't in the Rewards program at that time, they won't get points.

On the left hand side after you log in you should see an "Events" box with a link to the rewards program. After you click on that link you will see a sign up link on the bottom of the new page. There might be a faster method but that worked for me.

Cool, now I know what I have to do when I get my cards

Hopefully, Gencon LFR games will be recorded soon and I'll actually have a "My Character" choice on the page :D Yes I know it takes a long time, many many games to enter and all, I understand

Love to the RPGA Data slaves :D

If you don't have a "My Character" link, I've heard that you need to contact dci@wizards.com and tell them about the problem.

Word is that you need to be added to the "Player" group to get that link.
