| #1fiupntballrSep 15, 2008 17:02:50 | Hey guys, So I took the 4.0 test for ... and giggles since I am already a Herald member from back in the Living City days. My Herald status was still good until 2011 but I decided to take the test. Well now that I actually passed my exam my herald status ends in 2009.... Great way of rewarding someone for taking an exam... |
| #2michaeltlhSep 15, 2008 21:17:00 | You should send a sternly worded letter to the editor of your local paper explaining your deep disappointment and how terrible Wizards of the Coast has treated you personally, and how it may effect your chances at a life of liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Scratch that... go directly to your Congressman and demand satisfaction! |
| #3WolfStar76Sep 15, 2008 22:41:49 | You should send a sternly worded letter to the editor of your local paper explaining your deep disappointment and how terrible Wizards of the Coast has treated you personally, and how it may effect your chances at a life of liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Or he could voice his concerns here in the forum and try to alert others of us who might try taking the 4E test for fun against doing so. Not to mention Chris Tulach reads these forums, as does Ian Richards, who are the heads of the RPGA, and they may take note of the problem, and make corrections. |
| #4surgebusterSep 15, 2008 23:45:29 | I fall somewhere in between our dueling foes MichaelTLH and Wolfstar76. ![]() Is this issue any kind of real problem? Of course not. Was the issue raised in an appropriate fashion and tone? Pretty much, compared to the usual hyberbole and hysteria on these boards. I tend to think Chris and Ian respond to concerns that are raised in a reasonable fashion. Just like in any other job, rude people generally go to the back of the queue... Joe |
| #5fiupntballrSep 15, 2008 23:52:30 | the last part was a bit of sarcasm... this was more a warning than anything.. I sent a help ticket to rpga and im sure it will get resolved as pointed out by wolfie :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D does adding smiles make everyone happy |
| #6nicodemus_dupSep 16, 2008 1:12:34 | I had the same problem. I contacted WotC and they replied that each time you organise (or participate, I don't have access to the mail in question for the moment) an RPGA event, your membership extends until a year later, so it will remain valid up until a year after your last event. |
| #7michaeltlhSep 16, 2008 7:10:58 | and they may take note of the problem, and make corrections. Awww... it's so cute that you have that kind of optimism. :D |

Now *this* I did not know. That's FAQ worthy. |
| #9WolfStar76Sep 16, 2008 9:45:28 | Awww... it's so cute that you have that kind of optimism. :D Hey, they "may" do it, I know Chris is a busy guy who doesn't post as much as we like, and Ian surprises us whenever he posts, but I don't believe they ignore us. Now. . . as to when they have the time to find bits and pieces here that can be slipped into their schedules. . . . well. . . there's your needle in a haystack problem. ![]() |
| #10nicodemus_dupSep 16, 2008 10:12:29 | Now *this* I did not know. That's FAQ worthy. I thought to copy past the e-mail I got but it's in dutch so that will not help most of you. It did mention organise and not participate ... |
| #11nicodemus_dupSep 17, 2008 23:39:54 | Now I also received an e-mail from Wizards Play Network: Hi Jeroen It’s great to hear you took the 4th edition test though it wasn’t necessary. Unfortunately since you had an existing account it reset your expiration date. This will be worked out soon and reset to 2011. The WPN Team Organized Play Wizards of the Coast |
| #12fiupntballrSep 18, 2008 1:18:02 | I got even a different answer... ROFL Your renewal date reverted to 2009 because the system thinks you had just signed up as a new GM. Once you run and report an RPGA event your renewal date should revert back to 3 years from now. Please give this a try and if your membership renewal doesn't get extended please let me know and I'll correct it manually.
