Actually, that's not how the system works.

Under the old system, players (and DMs) earned points for every RPGA-sanctioned session they played in. Several times a year, the RPGA would mail out reward cards; if you'd earned enough points during the period, you'd get mailed reward cards. (Every multiple of 20 points earned got you 3 cards; different adventures were worth different points.)

That system has now gone away. There are now two ways to obtain reward cards:
- Conventions can purchase "convention support kits" from the RPGA, which include bundles of cards, among other items. The convention organizers can then give out those cards however they want (raffles, registration door prizes, whatever)
- Twice a year, all players who've kept their contact info (including e-mail address) current with the RPGA are supposed to be e-mailed a password, which can be used to unlock a PDF file (downloadable from the RPGA site) containing all the cards that had been used for convention support in the prior period.

There's still a GM rewards program; every 5 points you earn (one adventure = 1 point) gets you something. (But, note that the GM rewards are no longer the cards.)
