| #1kzachFeb 22, 2009 4:30:44 | I sanctioned an event to test out the system so I could understand it. I cancelled it but now whenever I try to sanction an event, it uses the location I first put in and there is no recourse to change it. I want to run two LFR games, one online and one at a public location, and now I can't even change the location. It's this PITA BS that made me stop bothering with living games for 3.x. The ONLY reason I've persisted this far is because I've committed to running these friggin events. |

As for changing the event location, it would help if you'd give more information about what steps you're taking that are causing the problem. It sounds like you WANT to sanction a "HOME" game for the online option, and on the following screen you can either choose to use your previous location or right below that is a radio button (circular selector) to create a new location. Depending on what kind of public event you're running (Retail or GameDay being the most common two) you may need to contact WPN (Wizards Play Network) staff to get your event location added to your profile. This is most common in Retail events - in which case you need to write to dci@wizards.com with your DCI/RPGA number, and the address of the store you're going to be running your event(s) at, and request that that location be added to your profile. Within one or two business days you'll be able to select that location for Retail events. In the meantime, take a deep breath and calm down - if you ask questions politely you're going to get a lot more replies. Thousands of people use these forums daily and I've not heard your level of complaints before, so keep in mind that the issues you're seeing could be on your end as well. I'd suggest trying a 2nd browser if you have one installed, not to mention flushing your cache and cookies if you continue having problems with the site. Enjoy. |
