I notice that January's usual Dragon article by Chris Tulach regarding the status of the RPGA is not in this month's content calendar.  Anyone know why, or is it just me?

I have not looked, but was there an article named D&D Organized Play?  WotC has been phasing out the brand identity known as RPGA and replacing it with D&D Organized Play or Wizards Play Network.  Soon it will only be a memory.  Cry

I think it was on the calendar for this last Monday (yesterday) until, well, yesterday. I wouldn't be surprised if it's being held till the new CCG comes out next week.

That'd make a lot of sense, huh?

I found it amusing to watch the "RPGA Report" skitter across the calendar ahead of the encroaching live links, from Friday to Monday to today, and then escape altogether, coming back after a brief absence under a new name.

Apparently, it is now "D&D Play Spotlight", which appears to indicate that the RPGA name is being officially retired, that column (and these forums) being among the last vestiges of use of the name.

I was disappointed (and surprised) to see practically no mention of LFR in this month's column.

As was I.  Does this mean that there aren't going to be any new LFR mods this month?

There are... they're at DDXP.

Yeah, the name seems headed for retirement (surely to come back again in a few years... I will be shocked if it doesn't see another comeback). If you look at the adventures at D&DXP, the boiler plate no longer has the RPGA name (outside of the copyright).

Is Mini 1-6 coming out at or after DDXP?

Chris is working on the release schedule (he just asked the globals a bunch of questions about upcoming adventures). We are working on getting adventures to him. All I can do is appologize for the delays.

MINI1-6 is NOT at DDXP (as many have noted that its not on the schedule; because another multiround event would be rough to schedule at a con that already has some big ones). I was trying to release it the same weekend however, but truthfully I am having trouble finding playtesters since everyone is zeroing for DDXP or isn't free for one reason or another. So, since I want to make sure its the best adventure it can be, it is likely to come out AFTER DDXP.
