Agreed!

And, here are some pregens for folks who might want some:

http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=cb57dbfca744bb39d5a101cf914073b426c47079bd791e4f

Text files, copy the file and use the copy from clipboard option in DDI CB.

All have their primary stats, the initial 18s and/or 16s, as the stats raised.

Was a synopsis for this posted anywhere? The previous synopses have been popping up in Tulach RPGA News posts, but nada this time as far as I can tell. I like to give them to my players and DMs before asking for volunteers, and I'm Senior GM but not always Table DM, so I don't want to spoil the entire delve for myself just to write a synopsis.

Adventure: Sanity's Precipice

Through many adventures you have served many powerful and exotic patrons, but none have been quite like the being beseeching you now. A massive couatl - one of the mysterious plumed serpents of the Astral Sea - named Corithasat has asked you to brave the shifting landscape of the Elemental Chaos; worse yet, a section that hangs over the lip of the Abyss; to save an angel of Ioun from a fate worse than death.

An adventure designed for five 25th level player characters (PCs).

That is the player intro from the first encounter.

And my players managed to wallop the monsters in the first encounter, and I barely managed to bloody one of them.

Thanks.

Yay!

We spent way too long in the first encounter last month.

Oh my gosh. I just realized that the pregen character is an epic level Gnome Barbarian. Like from the cartoon.

Has anyone run the final encounter for the Delve? How tough was it for the PCs? Could they win on a straight-up fight, or did they win through disrupting the ritual and using their special powers?

I think my players will be able to win, although I am expecting it to get nasty, as I have applied the MM2 mods to my solos. And they didn't kill the Hydra in Encounter 2, so I am expecting things to take a loooong time to resolve, even with the lower hit points...

Then again, I am running this thing with several newer players using PCs that someone other than the player built. Not always pretty, really. Especially as the two people who built the PCs have some differences in approach. They don't work that badly together, but sometimes the differences can be major...

And that doesn't include third person's builds, as he only showed up for the first encounter, so far.
