I would really like to get into writing for it too, so if anyone knows who is going to be in carge of that I'd love to get involved with that on the ground floor to be one of the first adventures. |

RPGA staff has already stated several times that there will not be another Living style campaign for RPGA. You will likely see stuff for Dark Sun as one shots at conventions etc and perhaps even as Delves if they resurrect that play style. |

This exact same question was posited when Eberron was announced, and then again when it was released. And this thread is the 2nd thread I remember positing whether or not Dark Sun will be a Living Style campaign. I see the same thing happening next year when Dark Sun is released as well as when the 2011 setting is announced.

LOL yeah I noticed that. Just not something you will see. Perhaps you can write something they will run as a one shot at a con or something. And for the record I never was a fan of Dark Sun. But it is not by far my least favorite setting. That is reserved for Spelljammer and Eberron equally.

I would recommend you start getting your ideas together and submit them to the D&D Insider staff - while there may not be an official RPGA campaign, I'd expect that the occasional DarkSun article and adventure will make it into Dragon and Dungeon respectively. At the very least it can't hurt to try. D&D Insider Article Submission Guidelines (pops into a new window) |

All things change however, so feel free to hope I s'pose, I know I will. There is going to be some sort of "organized play support" for Dark Sun, whatever exactly that means, so maybe you will get opportunities to contribute something. I probably have selective-reading, and am infering what I want to, but I don't recall them mentioning any "organized play support" for Eberron when it was announced like they have for Dark Sun. Did they say anything? |

A couple of guesses... 1) Dark Sun could be used for one-shot stuff, like the Game Day events, whatever winds up replacing the Delves, or the D&D Open / Championship. 2) If WotC publishes any Dark Sun adventures, they might have rules and options for playing them as RPGA events. This is what they currently do with the Dawn of Defiance adventures for the Star Wars RPG. |
| #11redclock_the_untimelyAug 28, 2009 23:41:17 | Personally, I am hoping for something along the lines of Xen'drik Expeditions. I don't expect it to be, but am still hoping for it. Of coarse I want that because I pimarily DM and its really hard to just drop in on a game when all I have is a level one character and everyone else is 4+. Its nice to play at least once in a while. |

My expectation is Organized Play Game Day events. I wouldn't mind being wrong and seeing more support. |
