| #1sarAug 11, 2009 8:44:10 | Okay, I've tried the faq, the help page and can't get an answer so I thought I'd post here. I got my RPGA card a few months ago (3 or 4) and I'm trying to log in for the first time, but cannot. I've tried both the number on the rpga card which is a ten digit number as well as that number with 10 in front of it. The password I tried was my state abbreviation plus zip code. To no avail. Can't seem to be able to email cust help... Thoughts on what I should be doing? ![]() Oh, and when I click on the rpga log in I get the DCI site. Is this the same thing? Thanks Sar |

Confused yet? ;) See the link in my sig if you can't get access to the customer service system. Do you have an activation code scratch-off area on your card? If so, click 'Forgot Password' or something similar and there should be a link there to enter the code. Otherwise you'll need to contact customer services. |

| #4pedrAug 11, 2009 11:05:24 | If you give me more info about what the problem with customer service seems to be I'll see what I can do to help. The system does work, but a significant number of accounts were corrupted a while back and until CS are aware of a problem with an account they can't fix it. Edit: WotC is currently suffering a power outage, so that might also explain problems in getting in touch with Customer Service. |

I may be mistaken, but you may need to get hold of a new DCI number (which is the same as an RPGA number these days). The new DCI membership cards have the scratch-off activation code that pedr mentioned. But, in case I'm mistaken, I'd keep trying with Customer Service on your "current" card before trying with a new DCI number. |
| #6pedrAug 11, 2009 17:35:38 | I think that unactivated membership forms with numbers shorter than ten digits do not work. There are ten-digit membership forms without activation codes (some branded RPGA, I think) which work from the point of view of reporting an event, but leave the player with this problem as - as far as I can tell - there is no default password any longer, which means that if the player wants to log in before there is an email address on file they will have to contact Customer Services - as the forgotten password system won't have an email address to send a new password to. Short-version: organisers should do everything they can to make sure that they're using DCI membership cards with activation codes to sign up new members, as that system works! |
