| #1mearlusSep 11, 2009 23:30:26 | I recently recieved and had the players in our gaming group sign up for the RPGA w/ the DCI membership cards. I'm just curious if I can mail them all back in an envelope vs putting a stamp on each card and mailing it. I guess I'm just paranoid of 'breaking procedure' as I know other companies reject mailings like that for some odd reason.
Thanks! |

Thanks! I appreciate the quick response |

WotC keeps the registration forms, and they track information on the forms that doesn't get entered from the DM just entering their number the first time they play. For example, address information. While that may sound minor to you - at GenCon we were attempting to lookup as many people as possible who told us they had old numbers, but didn't know them. When there are multiple "Joe Smiths" in the system - seeing the city/state/zip of the Joes makes a huge difference in being able to tie a user to an account. So while it may not SEEM necessary to mail in the cards it quite useful and important. |
| #6tufratSep 19, 2009 9:59:47 | related to this topic...I run a home game. I'm a new RPGA member/Herald DM, as are 2 other people at the table. 1) Can I sanction and report games with only two other players listed? 2) If not, how do I get cards so I can register the rest of my players? |
| #7tirianmalSep 19, 2009 11:40:16 | You'll need to order some cards. If you're a Herald GM, then you've logged into the RPGA site, goto "Event Sanctioning", select "WPN Play Materials (last icon), and then select "Membership Card Request" in the drop down list. Go through the rest of the process of "sanctioning" the request and you should get them in a few days. And yes, you'll have to wait to sanction/report the event. No big deal. |
| #8mearlusSep 20, 2009 16:11:20 | Getting the cards was very easy and very fast. I was surprised when a large fedex box arrived with 10 cards in it. I thought WoTC would just send them in an envelope. I've since reported our home play event and was able to enter our players numbers in even though it doesn't look like their cards have been processed yet. It was nice to see that I didn't have to wait on it. |

Unfortunately, no - a "legal" RPGA game is 4-6 players + 1 GM. 2) If not, how do I get cards so I can register the rest of my players? If you login to the DCI Member's page there's an icon for "Wizards PLAY Netowrk - Play Materials" Clicking on that icon will allow you to order cards that will be delivered to you in about a week on average. Unless you specify otherwise it seems that most people get approximately 10 cards per order. |

Unless you specify otherwise it seems that most people get approximately 10 cards per order. How does one specify otherwise? I didn't see a place to put in a request for more cards. Or any other notes for that matter. I guess one could put in the address fields somehow, but I'm not betting on that being a good idea. |
| #11WolfStar76Sep 21, 2009 12:17:42 | Hmmm, good point - I had assumed the form allowed you to request more/less. The alternate (and slower) route if you want to order more/less cards would be to contact Customer Service and put your request in with them. |
