New Campaigns Setting?

Nov 06, 2008 18:25:24 Has there been any word at all on the new D&D Campaigns setting to replace the old Eberron one? Ive been speculating that it will probably be another Eberron campaign to capitalize on the new setting books next year although I think the setting of Returned Abeir in FR would make an amazing story

Any thoughts? Ideas?

Nov 06, 2008 22:44:25 I'd wager on a new RPGA campaign being announced at DDXP in Fort Wayne in February, probably to kick off at GenCon Indy in August. And, I agree, it'll most likely be Eberron, since that's the next setting to be supported by books.

Nov 07, 2008 0:03:38 It was actually let loose last year at The Ram about some upcoming Eberron stuff... as far as "official-ness", well, it was The Ram... take it or leave it. Strong beer does strange things to gamers.

At DDXP08 Chris told us that the next Eberron Campaign would launch at DDXP09.

At GenCon he mentioned that the next campaign(s) would be announced at DDXP09.

As there aren't any non-LFR events (save the Delve and the Classic) at DDXP, it would seem that we'll have to wait-and-see. Odds are very good that there will be some sort of Eberron campaign, and I vaugly recall Chris talking about how much he enjoyed the D&D Campaigns (level bump) modle for Eberron.

There was also talk about a *possible* Star Wars SAGA RPGA campaign.

Nov 07, 2008 17:40:28 Very cool, was just curious as we hadn't heard anything in a while. Hopefully we get the announcement via ddxp . Unfortunate I must decide between that and Weekend in Rokugan for my gaming con that time of year

Nov 10, 2008 20:00:02 Based upon Chris's previous statements, I expect him to announce an Eberron D&D style campaign to start at next Gencon. I know that a Star Wars campaign was one possible future development if the play numbers for Saga were encouraging, but I have no knowledge that it has reached the approval stage.
