Hello all,

I've just become a Herald Level DM and I've been asked by my local bookstore to put on an RPGA event. I'm not sure how to go about this and I believe I read somewhere that there is a kit the bookstore can order to advertise for the event.

Does anyone know about this and is there any information I can find on running an event there...like what I need to know, how to report it, what should I order for an adventure, can I run my own adventure or start with H1 for 4E?

Any help or pointing me in the right direction to make this public event work out well, will be really appreciated.

Thanks and game on!

there is an article just written that discusses running your first LFR campaign but I can't seem to find the link. It was on the front page for awhile.

Wait...it might be in the Oct issue of Dragon magazine.

I would check there.

There used to be Retailer Kits that were available to stores that have direct accounts with WotC. I'm not, honestly, sure if these kits are still available.

The article is, indeed, part of Dragon Magazine (from Chris Tulach's monthly RPGA Report series). It's still linked on the RPGA main page (www.rpga.com) or you can read it here.

There's also a great guide, written by warfteiner (who's name I usually butcher) linked into the RPGA FAQ at the top of this forum that will help walk you through the process of ordering a module, since the process isn't the most transparent thing in the world.
