| #1kitsunecrystalNov 11, 2008 16:41:23 | I have about 3 months worth of events that I have to report so people can get them tracked correctly. But since September, none of the events I've saved have been reported. Each time I click on Report Event, after putting in all the information, it just refreshes the page as if I had saved it. I've tried sending and issue to WotC support. In short, they are not support. This is the third problem I've had that I've sent to customer service through the links there, and I've been mislead, ignored, and even told that they just don't want to help me. I plan on making a complaint later...but right now, I need to know if there's a way for me to get these games from these events reported so I don't lose them. I've lost the paper copies of the first two, so I can't re-enter them. And one final problem that I hope someone can help me with. I have players that are new, but they haven't sent out their cards yet. And it takes WotC 6 weeks to process them (which is absurdly long). How do I report these people? It keeps telling me that their numbers don't exist, and I know that...but I have to report them somehow. Thanks to anyone that can help. |

I've put in their RPGA number, but it keeps telling me that those numbers are invalid. Well, I understand that. But I need to report them and I can't wait 6 weeks. What am I supposed to do? |

I have not dealt much with the new DCI cards with the scratch off number on them. Have your players signed in and registered with those numbers? And how did you order the adventures ? All as 1 event or as several different ones? You are not providing a lot of information here for someone to help you trouble shoot sorry. |

Typically if a number is reported as invalid that indicates it's an 8-digit number that wasn't used prior to GenCon08. If that's the case the only thing you can do is reassign those players new numbers. The good news is, you can get new numbers by having your players sign up on the website. If it's a 10-digit number and they're still getting that error, and/or if that's a number that's been used before they'll need to contact customer service at http://wizards.custhelp.com. |
| #6kitsunecrystalNov 12, 2008 12:11:05 | But here's the thing...there's no way for them to sign up on the website. At least, I haven't seen one. And I guess it doesn't matter, as I've given them the old cards and don't know what kind of conflicts I'll have. It's a moot point now, because I'll have to wait a month before I can talk to them again as no one watches the message boards we have for our group. Maybe you could tell me where on the site I can sign up new players when I need to? And also let me know if there's anything I can do now about these events? They're hanging out there, unreported, and I can't let that go on anymore. Edit: Oh...links in board posts are helpful. I should pay attention. Thanks. |
| #7AlphastreamNov 12, 2008 13:41:04 | If you know the players, then I would contact DCI (at) wizards (dot) com and ask them to create new valid numbers for them (or send cards). Copy the players on the e-mail and list their e-mails in the e-mail so they can verify if needed. DCI should be able to respond fairly quickly. If you don't know the players, you will have to report the tables without them. This can be the case for large cons... you can try to post and see if the person responds, but if they don't then there is no way to get them a new number and you simply have to strike them from the table.
