So, while I don't have the PHB2 just yet, in a slot zero last night, we still found at least one error:

The paladin is listed as having 8 healing surges - he should have (I think) 11.

k, looks like errors are going here. I hadn't noticed the Surge quantity; I added it to this list:

Various:
[W] and "STR vs. AC" info not converted on all powers

Barbarian:

Remove Cleansing Spirits level 10 utility power

Add Warforged Resolve:
Minor Action, Encounter
+13 Temp HP
Make a save against ongoing damage effect
Also: make a save against ongoing damage/status effect
If bloodied: Regain 8 HP

Melee Basic: +15 vs. AC 1d10+10
Ranged Basic: +12 vs. AC 1d6+7 Ranged 5/10

Invoker:

HP look WAY off; should be 65 instead of 97 unless Insightful Preservation is much better than I think
Ranged Basic: +14 (not +13)

Avenger:

Melee basic should be +9 damage, not +4.

Roswyn:

No errors I can find

Paladin:

Should have 11 surges
Should be Surge value 25

Defenses should be:
For: 24
Wil: 24

Melee basic: should be +10 damage instead of +9
Dragonborn Fury should be +1 instead of +2
Dragonborn Frenzy unexplained (+2 damage while bloodied)

Two more for the Dragonborn Paladin:
Draconic Heritage: not listed or added in, healing surge value is 25, not 24
Dragonborn Fury: should be +1 to attacks when bloodied, not +2

Avenger:
Ranged basic damage is correct (+4 dex mod)

Barbarian:
Level 10 Paladin Utility Power (encounter)???
Should be deleted as he has a level 10 barbarian utility (daily)

Unless I am missing something, shouldn't the Improved Warforged Resolve be giving the same 13 hit points in healing, when allowed, as it gives in twemporary hit points?

Action points are earned as you go through experience awarded encounters and everyone starts the day with one. Why would it need to be listed??

FYI None of the characters have Action Points listed

okay I was going to go into the Character Creator and use it to make the corrections to the characters but i ran into a snag.

the Creator has not been updated to imcooperate the new PHB2. I find this odd since the book came out today and one would expect that the powers that be would like us to use these new characters asap.

Wolf: Any clue when the update is suppose to be posted??

Per the Editorial Calendar, the Character Builder will be updated 3/24. It is updated the last Tuesday of every month/4th Tuesday? Not sure which.

Well, it appears that at least the gnome bard was built on 21 character points, rather than 22, at least when I first started trying to build it in the CB, before I ran into the "incomplete for PH2 stuff" issue.

Roswyn has yet another error:
Song of Rest should read "You and each ally."
As it's currently written, Roswyn wouldn't be able to benefit from her own SoR.

Am I missing something, or is there a reasonable way for the PCs to make a DC 35 Religion check? And is there a reason the DC should be that high? (Encounter 1)

Here's the full list of the errors I've found.

First off, with only one exception detailed below, the character sheets in the kit match the PDFs.

Balasar:
Fortitude Defense should be 24 not 23
Will Defense should be 24 not 23
Healing Surge HP Healed should be 25 not 24
Healing Surges/Day should be 11 not 8
Religion should be +9 not +12
Weapon Focus (Heavy Blades) grants a +2 feat bonus to damage, no a +1 feat bonus to damage. This error occurs every damage bonus in every attack Balasar makes with his longsword.
[edit]
Dragonborn Fury should be +1 to attack and +2 to damage when bloodied not +2 to attack when bloodied
[/edit]

Ilivarra:
Weapon Focus (Heavy Blades) grants a +2 feat bonus to damage, no a +1 feat bonus to damage. This error occurs every damage bonus in every attack Ilivarra makes with her falchion.

Markaria:
Stealth can be +5 instead of +6 when her armor is donned, I'm not sure how this should have been expressed.
Sun Strike Attack Bonus should be +14 not +13 on the front page of the character sheet.
In the PDF: Healing Surges/Day should be 8 not 7
In the Materials: Hit Points should be 65 not 97
In the Materials: Bloodied should be 32 not 48
In the Materials: Healing Surge HP Healed should be 16 not 24

Roswyn:
Stealth should be +13 not +11

Squeaks:
Reflex Defense should be 21 not 20
Weapon Focus (Axes) grants a +2 feat bonus to damage, no a +1 feat bonus to damage. This error occurs every damage bonus in every attack Squeaks makes with its halberd.
Devastating Strike: Hit should be 1d10 + 2d8 + 10 damage no 2d10 + 1d8 + 9
Cleansing Spirit should be replaced with Warforged Resolve

Draconborn Fury: should be +1 to attacks when bloodied, not +2

The dragonborn PC has a feat which increases the +1 when bloodied to a +2, so that portion of the character sheet is correct.

I'm not sure that it is from a published source. Fortunately, there is a stat block for her falchion at the end of her character sheet after all of her prayers are described.

i just now noticed the stat block and yeah i'm not an insider, despite having all the books.

so umm.. since it doesn't say enhancment to attack and damage rolls in that stat block is it another misprint that the +3 is only added attack and not damage on the sheets?

Dragonborn Frenzy is +2 damage when bloodied, not attack and I don't see any other feat that affects Dragonborn Fury. So unless someone knows something I don't, the Dragonborn Fury entry on Balasar should be +1 and not +2.

Some of the builds may not be the most efficient, but I found I could make them all work as 22 point characters. Don't assume that all of the 4th and 8th level ability score increases were applied to the same 2 abilities.

The PDFs are locked against editing - I could try and pester Chris for access to them, but he's been out sick lately, so I'm sure it would be a pretty low priority for him even if he's back in the office today.

The PDF copies of the characters are in the download available to Senior GMs/event organizers.

Balasar:
Healing Surge HP Healed should be 25 not 24

Isn't it 24? His HP is 97, 1/4th is 24.25, rounded down to 24... am I missing something?

Edit:
Markaria:
Stealth can be +5 instead of +6 when her armor is donned, I'm not sure how this should have been expressed.

Just to clarify, this means her stealth is +6, but goes down to +5 when she's wearing armor, correct? Do the other skills that are affected by armor on other characters show the lowered value, or do they show the value with armor?

Balasar is dragonborn, and as such gets to add his Constitution modifier to 1/4 of his hit points when determining his Healing Surged HP Healed value.

Just to clarify, this means her stealth is +6, but goes down to +5 when she's wearing armor, correct? Do the other skills that are affected by armor on other characters show the lowered value, or do they show the value with armor?

Other characters (when corrected as per my earlier message) show the value with the penalty for armor. But Markaria can summon her armor as a minor (free?) action, so she's a bit of a special case.

Hm... I'm missing something on Roswyn's stealth, I think. +6 for Dex mod and 1/2 level, +5 for training, +2 for being a Gnome, -1 for armor gives 12, not 13.

Edit: Missed the cloak. Still, that's 15, not 13.

Edit 2: Actually, Bards can't train Stealth... perhaps it's 11 (6 from Dex, 3 from Cloak, 2 from Gnome), without the armor penalty? Or maybe I'm just completely missinig something...

Alright, it's done!

Rapidshare link: http://rapidshare.com/files/211298720/D_D_Characters.rar

You all have my permission to download and print these sheets for use in your adventure, as long as it's not for profit and you don't claim that it's yours.

I put in 13 for Roswyn's stealth (for now, at least), but if it turns out that it's not right, I'll redo her sheet.

Also, Roswyn's and Markaria's 2nd and 3rd sheets have no changes, but I added them for the sake of completion.

Warforged Resolve is 3 + 1/2 level in temps, or 8 for an 11th level Warforged. Improved Warforged Resolve adds 5 to that number, for 13 total.

I've done some work refining the adventure here:

Tips for DMing PHB2 release day adventure!

I only just found this thread, so I have not incorporated the corrections here.

Roswyn has the paragon path power Queen's Grace, but the bonus seems to be accounted for in her powers.

Everything is in the first post. The first section are clarifications, corrections, options and suggestions for running the adventure. The second is a one page player guide to the group, so the characters know what they can do and how they can work together. The third is a DM guide to the characters, mostly a list of "triggered" abilities, including immediate interrupts/reactions and triggered free/no actions.

Hope this is useful to you.

(she's definitely one point short)

So what should Roswyn's (Bard) missing stat be?

(she's definitely one point short)

I think she was built as follows:
Strength 8 (+1 at level 11) [0 points]
Constitution 12 (+1 at level 4 or 8, +1 at level 11) [2 points]
Dexterity 11 (+1 at level 11) [1 point]
Intelligence 16 (+2 racial, +1 at level 4 or 8, +1 at level 11) [9 points]
Wisdom 11 (+1 at level 11) [1 point]
Charisma 16 (+2 racial, +1 at level 4, +1 at level 8, +1 at level 11) [9 points]

A total of 22 points. A somewhat nutty way to build her, but still accounts for all 22 points.

This is all said and done but on Game Day I played Roswyn so I brought her character home with me to put into the Character Builder because I noticed a glaring error with her.

My question to those who did errata on the characters, "How does Roswyn have two multi-class feats with both Pact Initiate (Fey Pact) and Arcane Initiate?"

I don't see that as an exception that would be granted by Race, Class, or Paragon ability. As far as I can see, she can not take one of those initiate feats because you can not dabble into a third class. (PH p208)

I thought it was stupid that she would take the Arcane Initiate when I was playing her as her Thunderwave is way to limited with her bad Wisdom. (No push power.) Then I saw just above that she also had a Warlock power. I don't know of any way to take two multi-class feats and was surprised no one else on the boards has mentioned this.

Am I just missing something?

P.S. I hope we get something much better in WWGD for the Monster Manual. The errata in this one has been very disheartening. People need to not only game test these adventures but they didn't even proof their own characters.
