| #1TrustTymoraOct 14, 2008 12:44:13 | I have a core of four players. Can one of them play two characters in an LFR module that I DM or are the players limited to playing one character at a time for the given module? |
| #2kenobi65Oct 14, 2008 12:53:05 | Nope; one PC at a time per player. In at least some 3.x RPGA campaigns, such as Living Greyhawk, Leadership was a legal feat, and a PC with a cohort could bring the cohort along if it wasn't a full table. AFAIK, there's nothing like cohorts/Leadership yet in LFR. |

Can one of them play two characters in an LFR module that I DM or are the players limited to playing one character at a time for the given module? There is currently a loophole in the RPGA and campaign rules that results in there being no prohibition on a single player playing two characters in a single session. However, it is a loophole that is known. Guidance from the campaign administrators has been to not use the loophole (stick to one PC/player). Presumably is being closed in the next cycle of rules updates. David |

| #6WolfStar76Oct 19, 2008 3:26:07 | I too had heard that the rules don't technically disallow it but, does the adventure submission process even allow for it? No. Each player has to have a unique WPN#. If a player uses two WPN numbers for themselves that's technically fraud (because of the Rewards Cards involved) and has been known to get people's numbers killed from the WPN system. It doesn't happen often, and it isn't much publicized, but it does happen. |
| #7monadOct 29, 2008 0:50:35 | Here's a slightly different variation on the OP's question: In a home game of LFR, I don't have quite enough people to fulfill the minimum four players. Would it be all right if one of them plays two characters if that second character is not officially reported? If I consistently report games with less than four players, will anybody care? Will Bad Things happen? |
| #8kenobi65Oct 29, 2008 9:45:57 | Here's a slightly different variation on the OP's question: The system won't LET you report a game with fewer than 4 actual players. It'll spit it back at you, and ask for another player's RPGA number. |
| #9monadOct 29, 2008 20:39:05 | Hrm. Looks like I'll have to hunt down one of my regular players and convince them they want to join the RPGA... Thanks for clarifying that for me. |
