| #1mattdissSep 04, 2008 8:22:05 | Hi all, My first event as a DM is tomorrow night (a home game), so I've never reported an event. Maybe some of this will become clear once I can do so, but I have a couple of questions. First, one player has dropped out, leaving us with only three. I plan to just have one player play two characters so that the event can go on. Will I run into any problems reporting three players at the event? Next, I'm getting the sense from other posts on these boards that characters are in some way tracked, as well as the players. I'm not really sure how this happens, so I'm not even sure how this impacts the question above. Will it be an issue in any way that a single player played two characters? Thanks, Matt |

The practical answer to your question is yes, the system will not allow you to report a session which only has one GM and three players. 2) You don't mention what type of RPGA scenarios you are running. The RPGA tracks characters for Living Forgotten Realms and for Xen'drik Expeditions (and, perhaps, for Star Wars: Dawn of Defiance, though I've not had that confirmed). If you are playing those campaigns, you need to tell the system information about xp, gp, and other rewards items when you report. However this doesn't directly impact on question 1, as you cannot report three players in any event. The only advice I can give - apart from to work around the system in some marginally fraudulent way, which I don't suggest! - is to either postpone (if you are playing a campaign or scenario which can only be played as part of the RPGA (LFR, XE, or Living Greyhawk, Return to the Moathouse or the D&D Championship scenarios) or to play but not report the event (you can cancel it from the 'My Events' listing) if you are playing a Dungeon magazine adventure or one of the published modules. |

FWIW, the event (if it happens) is to be LFR, so I'll be sure to fill out the tracking sheet included with the module. And now that I look at it, I see that it states the 4 to 6 player requirement; I guess I should read the fine print more carefully. Thanks again. Matt |
