I am the event organizer for the gaming shop I work at and have been organizing all of our RPGA events, including recuiting additional DM's. At this point I am DM'ing only half my scheduled events. My question is; can I play in events that I have sanctioned in a session I am not DM'ing? I looked and have not found any floor rules that cover this issue.

You can clearly play in an RPGA gameday, retail, or convention event that you have sanctioned when the session is DMd by someone else, per the RPGA General Rules. There was a problem associated with such events being incorrectly invalidated in the DCI database; I don't know the status of that.

Doing the same in a homegame is less clear, but you're on relatively safe ground. The RPGA General Rules say you cannot, but are functionally obsolete in this area, even if they haven't been formally discarded. Be aware of it, and make your decision appropriately.
