Problem's piling up with reporting

I've finally been able to report all of the games that have run so far in our group. My big problem, though, is that some of the reporting glitches and problems that have happened, and the lack of care WotC seems to have with registering new players, has created cascading problems in character sheets, adventure records, ect. I don't know who to turn to, because every time I try to tell WotC about it on their site, they keep directing me...right back to the site! I went to your site to ask the question! Why are you telling me to go back to the site and ask the question again?!

I'm really in need of help. Are there any admins that can answer my questions? Please?

To be completely frank, there is nothing anyone in the RPGA can do about this. The people in charge of fixing reporting problems are not part of the RPGA. As long as your players have valid RPGA numbers, keep reporting the events as best you can, but just use the paper tracking to keep tabs on your characters' rewards.

I cannot stress this enough. Everyone needs to make sure that they use paper tracking as their primary source of keeping tabs on their PCs' xp, wealth, magic items, and story awards.

Thanks,

I guess that more or less answers my question. ^.^ Thanks. I'll be sure to tell everyone. I just don't like not reporting half of the table because those people's RPGA numbers are still in flux, in transit, sitting on someone's desk at WotC, ect. But if there's nothing we can do, then I'll just wait on it. Thanks!

The online character tracker was a neat idea but is really not of much use. It would be much simpler to report the DCI/RPGA # and then have a spot to type in the character name etc. The database could divide stuff up by the names that way and not have to have players actually sign in to make a slot in the character database.

Just a thought

A big solution would be for WotC to fix the character number field to be either a drop-down or a blank field. This way, you could select an existing PC or just state the number (and the system would create a PC for that number if it does not exist). Currently, the "0 New Character" option is a huge headache for everyone.

The second problem is just the historical problem with DCI and RPGA unmerged numbers and old RPGA cards. This one should fade over time.

In the meantime, the paper records are what matters and players can submit appeals if they really want an accurate online status.
