| #1darrell_ukJul 04, 2009 14:33:30 | Despite having been able to sanction private events since the system changed, as of today when I try to create an event I get; "There is a problem with your request. Most likely you are not a coordinator for this brand or you have no public venues on file. Please contact your WPN representative for assistance." Yes this is in the D&D Private section, and for that matter I do have valid public venues on file, though I get the same problem in that section too. Anyone else having problems? |
| #2pedrJul 04, 2009 16:32:00 | No problems here, at the moment (touch wood!) It's probably something that only emailing the WPN (www.wizards.com/customerservice) or WPN UK (dciuk@hasbro.co.uk) can sort out - my random guess would be that something got messed up with your on-file address (someone else on here reported a while back that a missing post code caused this problem). |

| #4marcus_bandonJul 21, 2009 0:45:47 | I also have been having this problem. However I can't even find where to submit any venues. There is a topic in the knowlege base on this, but the link it gives is broken. Any help would be very appreciated. |
| #5pedrJul 21, 2009 5:45:57 | By 'broken', do you mean that you get a message saying "A technical error has occurred..."? If so, the problem is probably with the way your forums account was migrated to the Wizards unified log-on system, rather than with the link per se. The solution to that problem is to follow the instructions (clear cache and cookies, restart browser) in the first post here: http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?t=1133626 and if that does not work, posting in that thread. Customer service people monitor that thread and can fix the problems that some accounts are having. After that, you can use the form here (you may also have to put a subject and short message but all the data needed is in the form fields) and you should have a venue in a few days. You shouldn't need a venue for private play, i.e. not choosing "WPN Public Play", and if you're having problems with that, or still having problems sanctioning a public event a week after submitting it, I'd email customer services (www.wizards.com/customerservice - click the 'Email Us' tab) or call them (phone number here.) |
| #6klobbermeisterJul 21, 2009 9:34:27 | Yeah, It's telling me I can't order mods either. Exact same error message. I've only been doing so for the last 9 years. Sigh. |
| #7larytwJul 21, 2009 9:52:21 | I had the same problem. I had been ording LFR mods, and before that LG mods, for many years, when all of a sudden I received the same error message that you did. You need to contact Customer Service and tell them that somehow your account got inactivated, and that you need to be able to download LFR mods for private play. It took me weeks, and several go arounds with Customer Service, to get everything fixed. Good luck, Lary Wesley |
| #8klobbermeisterJul 22, 2009 13:33:32 | Thanks for the feedback Larry. We'll see how it goes. Edit - All it took was a call to WPN support (phone tree option 4), they could verify that my account had somehow been inactivated, and they simply reactivated it and all is now good again. Thanks for the input everyone. Hope this might help others in the same situation. Now, as to why it got inactivated, I don't know. Wheter it has to do with the database migration or the phantom WotC account emails being sent out, I dunno. A. |
